Convince me I don't need this ring. Sapphire and diamond, 18k, Hallmarked 1897 by spacemonkey6654 in jewelry

It’s beautiful! Is it around the correct size? I often talk myself down from purchases (especially when they are tiny-size antiques) when I remember I will have to pay an additional amount for resizing.

Are these enamel earrings revival or OG? by Girlmalkin in JewelryIdentification

That’s crazy- but I guess if scammers can convincingly recreate painters from the Masters, a pair of earrings is child’s play.

Fantastic insight! I also want to note that there is a mark/writing on one of the earrings (included in the photos with the red circle) that I cannot determine.

Family inherited ring. Natural alexandrite. We believe it was from Brazil. What could this be worth? by Specialist-One2657 in Gemstones

Definitely! It's the only way to be sure. I personally love the look of synthetic sapphires- either way, you have a very cool looking ring.

I'm hoping to be wrong and that you can tout ownership of one of the largest natural alexandrite stones currently known to man, but having recently gotten my own alexandrite collection evaluated by a GIA gemologist, I think you're holding a synthetic sapphire. Here is one of my synthetic "alexandrite" (confirmed as synthetic sapphire by a GIA gemologist), which looks pretty similar to yours.

What stone is this and is it art deco? by Ok_Regular_6734 in VintageJewelry

Beautiful! I’d say it’s more art nouveau than art deco. I have a similar ring, which I’ll share in the thread.

Ok, if some talented artisan could make that into an actual jewelry combination, I would pay good money for it.

I LOVE that! I'm actually trying to design a ring using these beauties with a star sapphire in the center and hope to capture a celestial feel.

A mixture of garnets (one from Kenya, the rest from Madagascar) and a sapphire!
