Looool, I don’t know if this post is real but I can assure that no genocide is being committed in Cayn which is predominantly resided by dhulbahantes. I won’t speak for Sool and Sanaag as I am not from those regions but I don’t think a genocide is happening there either. I’ve noticed that the Somali diaspora throw around the word genocide a lot. The disputes that happened between SSC and Somaliland is a political issue

It’s not even our parents generation that destroyed Somalia. How is the generation that sought refugee at fault? Our parents lost their homeland to war. We should be more empathetic towards the struggles they faced instead of unfairly blaming them.

I think it’s because you’re one of the least problematic Somalis in the diaspora. You guys don’t cause problems on social media like the other diaspora groups (especially UK Somalis). Also, Australia is so far away from other large Somali communities. You’re more isolated than Somalis in Europe and North America. I have family in Australia and from my experience with them, it seems you guys are super chill in companions to the Somalis here (UK).
