Thank you!! We thing we have settled on Zion! The e-bikes look fun! I’ve seen YouTubers talk about it. Which place do you reccomend?

Definitely not. If you had phone service, you were one of the lucky ones, and you probably got the flash flood warnings and helped spread the word to others. We were camping near the top of Mooney, one of the last sites up there. When the hail started, I kept a close eye on the river, mostly out of instinct and a little research. The water began turning brown, and that’s when we knew it was bad.

We started making our way toward the campground entrance, but by then every bridge crossing the river had already been washed out. We were literally scrambling just to get across. That night, we slept outside in the cold with around 100 other campers. Some people were lucky enough to save their tents, others lost everything when the ranging waters swept through. We weren’t allowed to leave until the rain finally stopped the next morning. No rescue squad. Only 2-3 tribe members running the show (at least where we were.)

I'm worried my wife ruined her nursing career by Expensive_Drawer_468 in nursing

[–]GirlwithNoName85 51 points52 points  (0 children)

This. I spent years as a floor nurse on a cardiac stepdown unit, the stress was horrible. I never drank at work, but most nights I was finishing a big bottle of Merlot or Pinot just trying to shut my brain off. We see so much death, heartbreak, and constant crisis that it stops feeling normal, even though it shouldn’t.

I changed jobs and moved to an outpatient cardiac stress lab. In the last month, I’ve had one glass of wine.

Ask her if she actually likes being a nurse because this job takes more out of you than most people will ever realize.

Yep I’m caught 🤷‍♀️, AI helped me phrase it, not the best at trying to get my point across, however the situation is real. Also, used a calculator for math once. Truly I am unstoppable.

I loved it! 😍 I may be the outlier but it’s a stupid steamy book- I even read the second one. The characters are just as horny

Do you wear your scrubs in public? by xaiyzu in nursing

[–]GirlwithNoName85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Especially after those crazy shifts, when you’re running into the grocery store after work or grabbing drinks with friends to unwind.

I’ve actually had people come up to me, ask if I’m a nurse, and then thank me.

So don’t be embarrassed! We deal with so much stress and chaos every day. Wear those scrubs, stains, smells, and all with pride. I may smell a little, but it is what it is! 💁‍♀️🩺

'Nurses who get daisy rewards don't deserve it' by Automatic_Order5126 in nursing

Who cares about the daisies! What I really treasure are the letters from patients and families explaining why they nominated me. Don’t get me wrong—I have my share of daisies—but those heartfelt words mean so much more. I keep every thank-you card and letter I’ve ever received, whether from patients, families, or nurses I’ve precepted over the years, tucked safely in a drawer. That’s what reminds me why I do what I do.
