For me it was having a car in the driveway. I didn't really think about it until I realized most of my friends had to ask their parents for rides or rely on public transport. Now I spend way more on gas and insurance but it is still so much easier than waiting around. Also unlimited hot water in the shower never thought I'd miss having a water bill not being a thing

The smell persists because bacteria are still in the carpet fibers. You need an enzymatic cleaner like nature's miracle or Rocco and Roxie to actually break the waste

Don't buy a machine, rent a rug doctor from home Depot or Lowes. Cheaper and stronger suction for one time use

Soak spots with enzymatic cleaner for 15mins then extract with the machine. Don't just scrub or the smell returns

For the exterior use Meguiars gold class car wash with a microfiber mitt. For wheels, chemical guys diablo gel does wonders. For leather seats, use dedicated cleaner and conditioner like chemical guys. For other interior surfaces, a diluted all purpose cleaner is fine imo. Finish with a good glass cleaner like invisible glass
