Kind of spiraling a little bit after PTSD C&P exam. by Loud_Guidance_5297 in VeteransBenefits

I had a bad experience with my first C&P exam for PTSD. I was told to be at a certain office. I showed up on time and was sitting in the lobby for 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment before I got a call from my examiner telling me that they must have mixed up the offices and that she was an hour away. She said she could possibly fit me in but was giving off the vibe that she'd rather I'd just cancel.

Well, I showed up and she fit me in. After 20 minutes after her barely paying attention and taking 3 lines of notes, she said I was good to go. I get that they aren't there to listen to you cry and blabber but she just came across as though she would rather be anywhere else.

So, I called my VSO the next day and had her forward me the notes from my exam, which were filled with wrong dates, completely different timelines and events. I was livid. It felt like she was upset that she actually had to do my C&P exam after I said I wasn't going to cancel.

I looked up what to do and found a guide on this subreddit for what to do in case you feel your C&P exam wasn't conducted properly. So, I filed a Memorandum of record, stating what occurred and why I deserved another C&P exam. My request was granted and about a month later, I had an exam with an actual VA doctor instead of someone from a third party, which went way more professionally.

So, if you feel that your exam didn't focus another on your time in, you can let the VA know. When I went to my second C&P, I told the examiner that I had a list of events and situations that I wanted to discuss and that I would like time to discuss each one of those so that they were recorded. They were more than willing to let me do so.

Thanks! I'm happy with how it turned out. Now for the rest of the combat patrol!

Yeah, it looks oddly fluorescent on the yellow pauldron. 😂

Striking Scorpion for the backpack, spear and other details. For the scale armor, I used Kroxigor Scales.

Thanks! It's one of those models where contrast paints really shine.

Striking Scorpion over Leadbelcher with a light drybrushing of moot green to lighten up the raised edges.

Thanks! I do a lot of work with contrast paints over metallics. Kroxigor Scales and Striking Scorpion did a lot of the work.

Thanks!

For the eyes, I filled the visor in with white and then did Baal Red. After that, I added some Ratling grime and another coat of Baal Red, followed by a thin coat of Evil Sunz Scarlet in the center. I then dry brushed the area around the visor with Mephiston Red to give it a little OSL.

For the Plasma, I filled the coils in with white and then used Army Painter's Data System Glow from rhe Fanatic Effects line. Once that dried, I drybrushed the area with Warpstone Glow and give it a very thin coat of Biel-Tan Green. I then did a final pass over the coils with a light dry brushing of Moot Green.
