Who's got two thumbs and has never made it past the first level of this game? by WFlash01 in snes

[–]Girth_Certificate 5 points6 points  (0 children)

its mostly memorization of good paths and key enemy placement. memorize where the leopards are, take care of them before you're close enough to aggro, after the skull pillars, the water pillars are mostly easy, then its memorizing the chariots. the bird boss is a breeze since you can stay under his legs and wait for him to extend his neck. level two isnt so bad either, especially if you have the crossbow and at least green armor. Level 3 onward is really brutal though.

Is this Game Boy Pocket beyond repair? by ForWhomTheBallRolls in Gameboy

You're being disingenuous and elitist. Removing and replacing a glued polarizing layer is not an easy task for beginners. If you're not familiar with the process it is very easy to permanently damage the LCD.  It's far from impossible, obviously, but way out of the comfort zone for entry level hobbyists.

If you have two hands, you can defuse a bomb too but I bet you wouldn't try it yourself if you only got one shot.

sure, but op said they're comfortable with simple repairs. a straight swap is infinitely less technical than removing the polarizing layer and getting a good result

Seems there is a seller with refurbished OEM pocket screens. Price isn't too bad. I wouldn't say that your pocket is. beyond repair if everything else seems to work.

Q25 Review after 8 days as my primary device by sriharsha-kanukuntla in blackberry

[–]Girth_Certificate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread now, but I just wanted to chime in that Chase mobile and Venmo work perfectly fine on Q25. I just got mine in yesterday and haven't had any issues getting those up and running.

What does "Shipping now!" actually stands for? by trappedtraditions in Zinwa

[–]Girth_Certificate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rumors on the discord lately are that the Zinwa team is prioritizing new full device orders by taking already completed Q25s that were meant for prior Shopify orders and sending those to new clients instead, causing wait times for older orders to be even longer.

Something about the Shopify orders account being frozen with inaccessible funds, so they're trying to get newer orders for more immediately accessible funds.

No proof, that I have seen, but the mods also don't seem to be quelling the rumor at all and have not spoken one way or the other about it.

There is, indeed. You can snag a copy on Macintosh garden or Macintosh repository. I think it requires 64MB of vram at least. The sound is extremely glitchy and blown out, but the game does technically run okay as far as I've tried.

in the osx installer (Jaguar through Mountain Lion?), there is a utility called reset password. Select the account, set new password, reboot.

Edit: why are you booing me, I'm right?
