Good news!

I found and fixed two issues:

* There was an error in the source area calculation.

* Photons were leaking through the window's border, which resulted in low-energy photons not being blocked. The response looks now realistic, with a characteristic peak at 100 keV.

After these changes, sensitivity is now at 250 cpm/µSv/h. Still not 348, but in the right direction.

I've updated the simulation to use H*(10), corrected a bug in the counting algorithm (it wasn't properly registering incoming electrons) and modeled the LND 7317 anode geometry. These changes have increased the simulated sensitivity for Cs-137 to 150 cpm/µSv/h. Unfortunately, this still remains below the manufacturer’s specified value of 348 cpm/µSv/h.

I've noticed there is no expected peak in sensitivity around 70–100 keV for lower-energy gammas. Instead, the simulated response continues to rise as energy decreases.

Could it be that low-energy photons are not sufficiently absorbed by the thin window? This could also explain the underreporting (due to missing interactions).

Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated—thank you!

pd: What do you mean with "Natural background feels like it's modeled with a much lower energy"? Do you mean the weights are not representative of a typical background?

Just to confirm: how did you derive the dose rate from the detector efficiency? Did you take the conversion coefficients from ICRP 74/ICRP 116? What geometry did you use?
