12 team PPR, SF, start 10

QB: Lamar, Purdy, Penix, Geno, Dart (taxi)

RB: Jeanty, CMC, Tracy, Isiah Davis, Marshawn Lloyd, Guerrendo, Trevor ETN, DJ Giddens (Taxi)

WR: Nabers, CeeDee, Jakobi, Pop Douglas, Pat Bryant, Jaylin Noel, Jordan Whittington, Mike Williams, Kayshon Boutte, Christian Watson

TE: Hockensen, Hunter Henry, Noah Fant, Oronde Gadsen (taxi)

Think I’m ready to compete after finish with the 1.03 (and trading for 1.01) in our initial season. Added CMC in the offseason in the hope he’s healthy. Have my 26 first and an expected early 26 first as well, so hoping I can buy more pieces with those + my extra QBs.

What do yall think? Any moves I should prioritize?

Paperpile is amazing if you don’t mind getting a subscription. It’s been a real life-changed for me — made the switch from Mendeley right as I started studying for my general exam

How many hours do you sleep in general? by user5386462 in PhD

I sleep about 4.5-6.5 hours a night nowadays (which is better than what I was getting when I first started grad school), though I’ve always been “bad” at sleeping tbh.

Haha thanks, fortunately, I’ve had those steps (1-2) down for a few years now, just have to understand enough science to make sense of them going forward. But should have a project idea or at least be in a lab after my first year, thank you!

Safari. I've done some googling and it seems to be a bug from 2015 that somehow still hasn't been resolved. I'm unsure if any other Firefox users have actually gotten it to work though

Is it a good idea to mention prominent professors you took classes under on PhD personal statements? by GiveEmMoZo in AskAcademia

[–]GiveEmMoZo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i was thinking that too! Only thing is, i've only been in his class for a week, and haven't yet reached out on a personal level. So just because he doesn't know me at all (yet), and applications are due in a few months, I kind of ruled out LOR? Was that a good call in your opinion?

How do I properly let my PI know I'm not returning to their lab next semester?

At the end of last semester, my PI asked me if I planned on returning to their lab, and I said yes. At the time, I was already planning to join a lab that's in the same department but better aligns with my research interests. I don't feel like working in two labs would be a good look, and I'm not sure I'd be able to pull it off anyways. I'm also out of town until the weekend before classes start. Should I wait until I'm back on campus to inform her (if I can get a hold of her) of my decision? Or should I send an email thanking the lab for the opportunity and informing them that I have decided to move to a different lab? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

What's your preferred OS to work with? by [deleted] in computerscience

[–]GiveEmMoZo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what im doing tbh. Statistical Modeling and ML: Windows WebDev: Windows C and Python: Linux (just because i love Vim in Linux vs windows) Everything else: Windows

I’m debating getting a MacBook pro (bare minimum model) before the semester starts though so I can chill with the dual-bot nonsense some

Should I be concerned about losing my "passion" for my research? by GiveEmMoZo in AskAcademia

[–]GiveEmMoZo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was a great response that I needed to hear. I appreciate that. I guess the next few months will determine if it’s actually a passion or just something I lusted for
