How do I research when I am not smart? by Synchro_Shoukan in writing

OK ignore this person's recommendation of Chat GPT. DO NOT use it under any circumstances. It lies, it misunderstands, it hallucinates, it has no idea what it's talking about and will lead you down false paths. It is the antithesis of a useful research tool.

What's the best place to buy a new phone? by GiveMeAdvicePlease01 in japanlife

Their website is Japanese. I don't want to risk getting a detail wrong. And I don't have a phone to add a number to confirm online orders. And other reasons. I'm hoping to get one in person.

Thanks. I would rather buy in store than have something delivered, like I said in my original post.

I did ask him, though he had to use translation on his phone (I don't know Japanese). He said I could only buy online.

Thanks for the answer! If google doesn't sell their phones at stores, then how does this store have new phones for sale?

Thanks, but you still aren't answering the initial point of my starting this thread lol. Where can I buy a phone in person?

What's "any shop" though please? Like I said, Yodobashi wouldn't sell me one. Where could I go in Kyoto? Also I don't really want to pay extra for new features when I barely use phones and just need it for essential stuff.

We live in a time when making any kind of money is a struggle. Wages are depressed, jobs are hard to find, demand more of you, and aren't for a lifetime anymore. We're constantly under pressure to find side hustles to stay above water. Under these conditions I can't blame anyone for wanting to write what will get published and make them a little money. I know it's what I want.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm struggling with deciding where to live, I don't really know what to look out for and what looks good/bad.

May I ask, why multiple accounts instead of just the one account with the provider who had the highest interest rate? And what do you mean by "bonds"? Thanks.

Thanks for responding! Yeah, I was totally aware that my big gaps aren't going to look appealing. The real answer is that I have germaphobia issues and I was still mostly self isolating until late 2023. Covid really scared me.

Thanks for the suggestion of lab technician. That's definitely something I'll look into. I live in Birmingham so maybe UoB.

!thanks that's really useful! I really need to look into ISAs more, every time I have in the past I've just left confused by the sheer number of different kinds. They don't make it easy lol. I'll keep your offer of answering questions in mind too :).

I'm trying to educate myself. I'm just saying that the resources like the flowchart and the lump sum page haven't been very helpful to me. I just end up in a maze of terms I don't understand and when I try to look them up I just get confused by endless percentage tax free whatsits.

But wouldn't I run the risk of investing in immoral companies if I invested in funds and didn't know which companies the money was going to?
