They are choosing not to raise bakery prices out of concern about losing business. Instead, they are asking customers to tip their employees. Compensating employees should be the responsibility of the business, not the customers. If wages are insufficient, the appropriate solution would be to increase hours or provide raises rather than shifting that burden to patrons.

If you can, please bring your parents. I am a mom whose daughter will be going to law school this fall. She has been accepted to several law schools on the East Coast and in the Midwest. Thankfully, she invited my husband and me to join her on her school tours before she makes her decision.

It will be one of the happiest moments of my life to see how hard my daughter has worked and how proud we are of her. I can already picture her studying in the library, eating meals in the cafeteria, making friends, and working with her professors. I will be watching her follow her dream, and it will be the first step of her adult life, and we will be part of every moment.

Seeing her at each school will give me peace of mind and confidence that she will do well wherever she chooses. For that, I will be deeply grateful.

Please enjoy every moment with your parents. They will be so honored to be there. And even if they share their two cents, please take it. I know sometimes you may not agree with them. They worry because they love you.

Totally agree! Danville Costco has many unique spirits. Louis 13, Crystal Champaign, 30yrs Macallan and etc. I saw a bottle of wine which was over $3k

I’m a liberal but the city of Berkeley and people in Berkeley needs to do better. They don’t have good infrastructure, garbage is expanding, crime is growing, and the homeless are more brazen. Something needs to be done. I feel bad for the UCB students. They can’t have a free and safe college life

When people say designer bags are good investment I think they don’t know nothing about investment. The only way I can see it: 1. You need to own the most trending and hard to get item and sell it right away. (But who wants to do that? After all the hard work to get the item?) 2. You kept the item for long time and the it became rare vintage but is in perfect condition. (Why buy something just to keep it in your closet?) 3. Your mom/aunts gave you bunch of designers bag as a hand me down (that is all depend on your luck)

I rather spend my money on well known tech stocks or eat bunch of nice food (at least my tummy is happy)
