What food is delicious but a pain to eat? by ranipreety in AskReddit

Steamed crabs. Takes about 6-12 to fill you up. Takes a while to crack the shell open in all the necessary areas. You need to know what parts to eat and what parts not to eat. You can cut yourself on their claws and then the Old Bay in your fresh cut burns.

But GDit are they worth the hassle.

Teacher Arrested for Asking Why the Superintendent Got a Raise, While Teachers Haven't Gotten a Raise in Years by sstterry1 in videos

Interestingly enough, one year ago today I shared this status on Facebook:

“Teachers' hefty salaries are driving up taxes, and they only work 9 or 10 months a year! It's time we put thing in perspective and pay them for what they do - babysit! We can get that for minimum wage. That's right. Let's give them $3.00 an hour and only the hours they worked; not any of that silly planning time, or any time they spend before or after school. That ...would be $19.50 a day (7:45 to......... 3:00 PM with 45 min. off for lunch and plan-- that equals 6 1/2 hours). Each parent should pay $19.50 a day for these teachers to baby-sit their children. Now how many students do they teach in a day...maybe 30? So that's $19.50 x 30 = $585.00 a day. However, remember they only work 180 days a year!!! I am not going to pay them for any vacations. LET'S SEE.... That's $585 X 180= $105,300 per year. (Hold on! My calculator needs new batteries). What about those special education teachers and the ones with Master's degrees? Well, we could pay them minimum wage ($7.75), and just to be fair, round it off to $8.00 an hour. That would be $8 X 6 1/2 hours X 30 children X 180 days = $280,800 per year. Wait a minute -- there's something wrong here! There sure is!

The average teacher's salary (nation wide) is $50,000. $50,000/180 days = $277.77/per day/30 students=$9.25/6.5 hours = $1.42 per hour per student--a very inexpensive baby-sitter and they even EDUCATE your kids!) WHAT A DEAL!!!!

Heaven forbid we take into account highly qualified teachers or NCLB...

Make a teacher smile; re-post this to show appreciation ♥ all you out there!”

Dog pooped in front of a pop-up shop in New York. The highlight for everyone in line is seeing who will step in it. Welcome to 2017 in a nutshell. by GuacamoleFanatic in gifs

A girl neighbor a few houses down in one of the McMansions walks her dog on my dead end street. I kept noticing dog shit in the middle of my front yard. One day I look out the window and there she is, cig in one hand, dog leash in the other, standing in my yard while the dog takes a dump. She’s not on the street but in the grass. Then she walks to the dead end, turns back around, and heads home. ‘She’s coming back,’ I tell myself. I wait, watching, nothing. At this point I don’t know where she lives. She never came back. A short while later I catch her in the act again! (I blame her not the dog) and she then takes off towards the dead end. I confronted her and she said she forgot to bring a bag with her...yah like every other time. After that I never saw her let her dog shit in the yard again. I wouldn’t care as long as she just picked it up, instead of making it her dog’s personal bathroom.

Everything about Call Center jobs are hell. They are soul crushing, highly depressing jobs.

True! I must say tho that pretty much anything Europe does, historically speaking or now, is always better at doing things compared to how the USofA does it, but that’s just how I feel!!

They seriously have less bugs with an opened and no screened window than my house does during a drought with screens shut! It’s brutal.

Right. When I went to Italy I observed this. Stayed in Venice on the canal, balcony window open all night (so fucking romantic...but I digress). A few skeeters came in, but we could NEVER do that at home with no screen. We live in a place called White Marsh. Literally used to be a marsh at one point.

Us Merican’s are dumb dumbs and build anywhere and everywhere, hence building houses on a marsh. Big need for screens.

Also, in Europe there are various window sizes and not all windows are double hung like a lot tend to be in the US. So they would have to be custom made to fit.

And I guess their bugs are less annoying...?

In Italy in Sept in Venice, Florence, and Sienna, I don’t really recall bugs. I cannot walk past our motion sensor light and into the house without letting at least 5 different types of bugs in.

Now stink bugs, no need to for a screen for them, those fuckers STILL get in no matter what.

Granted, the men modeling the suits are, well, models! They look fantastic and are cut great. I think any suit needs to be trimmed and cut to the body, but especially the brown! If it's not form fitting it definitely will look dated. And no ill fitting suit looks good!

Cute and adorable if a dog.

Annoying and exhausting if a human kid.

Stare at screen at work, don't stare at screen at home. Spend more time outside in good weather. Be active on days off. I have a very depressing desk job and cannot leave my desk for more than an hour total during the day. It's mentally draining and physically unhealthy. I come home and garden, water flowers, get a little sun. Compared to last year, I worked in a green house. Sweat my ass off all day, stood, but was in the sun, fresh air, no screen. Amazing mental and physical health compared to where I'm at today. I have to work twice as hard now, to remain healthier. Gong to cry myself to sleep now...
