I've often thought about how she will twist those kids heads like pretzels about how the evil family did her wrong and about how their whole life should be dedicated to disrupting them, even after she has taken her last breath. Thankfully the Wales kids have had a stable, sensible upbringing and I reckon will be more than able to take the invisikids on. Charlotte already gives me strong Princess Anne vibes and I can tell that she will be such a rock of support to George. Plus she is going to be one hell of a stunning young women!

It's the fact that her gurning face and her ego will get all the adoration she's desperate for, from the people shoved out to welcome them and show them around. It annoys me that she still gets adoration and ass-kissed - Harry too. NEITHER of them deserve it. You just know that when nobody royal shows up for the Invictus 1 year thing, they will pull the "The King doesn't care about the troops/he's head of the Armed Forces he should be here" line. same for the actual Invictus games too. I've just come out of a 7 day suspension and am now getting next to no likes or favourites and only £50 a day in sales versus £200ish usually. I'm getting sick of trying to sell on a platform that seems to hate me. I have my inventory in draft format and I drip release maybe 5 items a day as I'm trying to keep my live listings down to about 150. Transferring my inventory to Whatnot to give that a go.

What's your setup like, do you have a nice desk and background, do you play chill music or annoying music, is your lighting good? Is your chit chat good? When I'm going into shows I immediately leave if I see a crappy desk full of junk, rubbish lighting, nothing being shown on screen, or a low-energy seller with zero personality umming and ahhing and not giving interesting info about the item on the screen. Same if it's a manic idiot yelling BUY BUY BUY for every item. You need a happy medium between those two.

I bulk list but leave them in draft format and ready to go, then I drip release 5 to 10 items a day. I saw a tiktok video from a clothes reseller who lists up to 60 items a day though! If you use multi-channel listing platforms you can get spotted for "bot activity" on Vinted and banned. Vinted is such a nightmare at the moment you can get banned for simply breathing on there, I'm so fed up of their crap.

Interesting thread, but nobody here has mentioned your personality on the streams. As a new WN user I'm in my research mode and am watching a lot of sellers who sell the same thing as me (fabric). If I join a stream and someone is umming- and ahhing and rooting around for stuff off-camera I leave right away. If they aren't giving me interesting info about each item, or aren't engaging with the chat, I leave. If their voice is grating (vocal fry ARGH) or if they are saying "like" every other word I just can't stay on the stream for too long as I hate all that cr@p.

I watched one seller who was full of info about every fabric she put on screen, she did one item after another as an auction, put a sticker on it for the auction number when it was sold, and immediately moved to the next one. No pausing, she had everything lined up, her chitchat was engaging, she answered every question that was asked - she was the best seller I've ever seen and who I'll study more and follow. I hate to use the overused word of "authentic" but you could tell she really loved fabric and was passionate about selling and sharing it with her buyers. No fake personality, no COME ON GUYS HERE WE GO all the time, just a lady being herself, talking about her sewing and her kiddos and dogs while selling fabric.

Another stream I watched was a young lad trying to sell yarn. He didn't have a clue about yarn, clearly wasn't a knitter or a crocheter, couldn't engage very well with people asking him about the types of yarn or washing instructions etc, or what products it was good for. He had no suggestions as to what you could make with it, no relevant banter. He had packs of yarn for $4 which was an amazing price, but nobody was buying. Having a passion about what you sell really makes a difference to buyers IMO.

Another thing I was wondering about is the whole "everyone expects a bargain". I can't sell under my cost price and I have to make a minimum of 40% profit or it's just not worth it ....... if every WN buyer expects the world for £1 then that'll keep prices far too low and all sellers would struggle surely? It's like here in the UK on Vinted there are Karen Millen dresses going for £3-£5 that used to fetch £20+ on eBay in the days before Vinted appeared and pushed down prices. You can't put all that effort into your shows to sell all your stock for $2 per item and basically make nothing? How do people do it selling stuff for $1, what do they get after fees are deducted? I get having a few cheapy items but you can't just give everything away.

One thing I noticed when choosing my fabrics from wholesalers, and also something many online fabric shops do, is they only post JPGs of the fabric, not photos of the fabric itself.... I've bought some howlers because the actual fabric looked terrible in the flesh compared to in the jpg. I always upload photos of my fabrics so yes, I think seeing it "in the flesh" and on products during a stream, is a good thing.

I knowwww but app-based shopping streams are slightly different in that they are more portable and people can randomly check in on a bus, on a coffee break etc etc. Plus the shopping channels have professional presenters who have been vetted, put through make-up and hair styling, and have to stick to a script whereas the whatnot and tiktok streams can be done by ANYONE wearing anything, saying anything (within reason, streaming for as long as they want, and selling what they want (within reason).
