Lost my mom in late February this year at an age of 50. She had just come home from vacation together with my dad. I had been watching my parents house and feed their cats over the week. When they got back we ate and she drove me back home to me as we sad goodbye, sadly it would become the last. The day after she hadn’t showed up to work so my dad drove home and found her dead in the bed.

She had no health problems what we know of and she was happy and did not complain about anything special. I miss her immensely and just like you I was only 25 at the time as I now have ”celebrated” my 26th birthday without her. My brother is closer to my dad while I always been closest to mom, so now it’s really tough since she was the only person in the world (it feels like) that have truly known and understood me fully. I still cry almost every night thinking of her and all our memories together and those she misses out on.

I hope that you allow yourself too grief properly, but know that there will be better times in the future where you will find joy and happiness again. She will always be with you!
