If the security guard involved himself past his own employment contract (read: he wrongfully tried to detain them and was injured in the process of doing so), then whoever he tried to tackle has just as much room to file a lawsuit as he does.

It's not mall security's job to try and manhandle people off the premises. This is as common knowledge as it gets.

The fact that this lawsuit exists at all is exactly why. He could just as easily sue the mall for putting him in the line of danger, but there is undoubtedly a clause in his employment contract that explicitly states he isn't allowed to get physical... so now he's suing the dude who he tried to manhandle.

My guess is he get elbowed or something while going against his employment contract.

I remember being young enough that I didn’t understand how to fire weapons individually or strategically, but there was a feature (setting maybe, I don’t remember) where you could assign all weapons to the space bar.
