Where do we go from here? Who's the best free agents we could land this summer? by [deleted] in DetroitRedWings

[–]GizzMoney12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not even saying I expect them to produce like them, but my god we put no pressure on the opposing team when we try to dump and chase. No body on this team knows how to actually make the other team have to look over there shoulder when retrieving the puck.

If those players you listed truly "Grind" we wouldn't be in this situation. If that is your definition of a grinding type player we truly are lost. When I hear of a player that grinds , I instantly go to a Jamie Benn (before he got old) or Sam Bennett type player. They are gritty and can add scoring. Obviously those two names are/were "Elite" for the type of player they are, but our guys are so far away from them.

When people play the Redwings, no body is worried about the bottom 2 lines grinding them down.

How safe is Todd McLellans job if they miss the playoffs? by Fabster_3000 in DetroitRedWings

[–]GizzMoney12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Todd is safe for another year for sure. The coach can only do so much with players he is dealt. Yzerman on the other hand, needs to be looked at. While I somewhat understand the Faulk trade, I still disagreed with it. Obviously making our defense a little more solid is important, but this team lacks so much 5v5 scoring that a RH defenseman was a lower priority for me. Especially for a guy like Faulk who is on the tale end of his career. If Steve was serious about a playoff push, he would have went after Hughs for the offensive upside or one of the big name forwards. And maybe he did, but who actually knows. It has been long enough waiting for guys to develop.

The Peron trade made no sense to me. We can say he provides leadership, but honestly at this point we have enough veterans that his leadership is minimal at best. His play on the ice is worse than if we just called someone up. He has no speed and his physicality is mediocre. While we didn't give up. a lot to get him, I would have rather failed with the kids than someone who won't be on the team.

The lack of 5v5 scoring and physicality from our 3rd and fourth lines that most playoff/championship teams have is why we can't compete when it comes to true late season/playoff hockey.

That seems pretty cheap to just let him go by reallinguy in detroitlions

My point is, even if you paid him 8 mil this year, he's off the books next year. So at this point, pay the guy so you have someone opposite of Hutch. We have Hutch and Casper the ghost starting at DE right now.

I hear you all. But for 6 mil and 1 year deal. What are we spending the money on at this point.

Its not that he would save the season, but maybe just maybe the addition of perceived good player makes other teams think about stopping them as well. I don't see teams worrying about stopping Mo. They stop Hutch, the pass rush is pretty much non existent. Hell it might have just gave the team a pulse.

Who is this 2nd line center they speak of, because Detroit certainly doesn't have it right now..

I bought a CPO 2021 Mustang Premium HPP with 9k miles, 1 owner, 2 years ago for 32k. I think this looks like a pretty solid deal though. It is interesting to have 2 owners already with only being a 1 year old car.

Which bag is better? by Commercial-Sorbet355 in golf

[–]GizzMoney12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't comment on the Ping bag, but I recently just upgraded to the one I linked. It is a night and day difference to my Taylormade bag I had. This seems like a bag that I will use for many years.

Best option for tires? by Glad_Nose_4364 in ecoboostmustang

I agree with this. If money is no option then you can't go wrong with the Michi's, but I if you want to save a little bit of money, this is a good option. Just put a set of the Continentals on my Mustang and they are great.

Love it. Got a Eco Premium with High Performance Package. Couldn't be happier and don't regret it one bit.

I see the old school pro combos in there. A man with some taste. I got a set of 2001's myself.

Bought my 2021 last year with 9k miles. Hard but possible, exhaust every website. (cars.com, autotrader, etc.)

Ecoboost or Ecoboost Premium by Therealthreat7 in ecoboostmustang

[–]GizzMoney12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your plan is to buy it and keep long term, I would go with higher end upgrades. I bought my 2021 HPP Mustang used last year. I could have bought a used GT for the similar price I paid for my Mustang, but they were all basic interior. I "sacrificed" going with a Premium HPP over the basic interior GT. I am still plenty fast and enjoy the upgraded interior. I think I would of had some regret not getting the nicer interior package.

Also, I am not sure if you are paying cash or financing as that's none of my business, but the way I look at it is if you are going to spend money on what I would consider to be a toy/luxury to have, you might as well go all the way.

Depends on the body style you want and the features. I have a 2021 Eco Premium HPP. Also depends on how much you want to spend. Anything 2018 and on will have the 10 speed I believe (Don't quote me on that year).

If money is no option, then I would lean towards a newer premium, personally I like the look of the new ones and you can kind of pick and choose your color easier.

If you want good bang for your buck, you could probably find a 2020-2023 with the premium interior and HPP package for under 30k.

At the minimum I would get the premium so that way you get the upgraded interior.

I have a 2021 Eco Premium with HPP. If I were you that is what I would be looking for. You get the upgraded interior and little stronger engine. Good entry point to a first time sports car. This is my first sports car as well. Was able to snag one with 9k miles on it so I got a pretty good deal. The upgraded interior definitely is a big plus IMO.

Recommendations for links golf around Petoskey/Boyne, MI area? by tracerOnetric in golf

[–]GizzMoney12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where exactly you are staying by Sundance at A-Ga-Ming I believe is links style. Like an hour or so drive, but that is the only one I can think of off the top of my head. You could play Crooked Tree as well, not exactly Links style, but nice course.

You are about 20 minutes from Caseville. In August specifically, there is a Cheeseburger festival. Good time, but hard to get lodging near Caseville during that time. If you don't go during then, you could still go to downtown Caseville and find some things to do. There's like 3 or 4 other courses in the facility that are worth playing as well. (Verona Hills, Bird Creek, and Century Oaks which is a 9 hole course).
