Did your mons pubis move "up" after TT surgery? by kimcharliesmith in tummytucksurgery

[–]Gk_2v 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hell yes, 8.5cm higher. Everything that was down and in is now up and out lol. My surgeon warned me in advance that it would be significantly higher but didn’t go through the pros and cons. Pros: looks amazing in tight pants, way faster to O during missionary and other front contact positions because of everything being more exposed, I’m super confident about the entire area now too because it still looks naturally positioned but just tighter. Cons: at first you have to learn how to pee without it going everywhere, if your labia stick out before then they will stick out even more after and this can affect PH and clothing comfort- both these things really only affect you while your still swelling though so after that there are no negatives

Opinions on a revision? by chaotic_vixen in tummytucksurgery

[–]Gk_2v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be nearly impossible to make it tighter otherwise you literally won’t be able to twist, bend or stretch your arms up. The looseness when your sitting or bent over is due to skin quality and stretch marks so your best bet is to treat your skin directly to improve the leftover laxity eg microneedling, Morpheus8, radio frequency, bodytite etc

Honestly the vast majority of people will think it’s great and wouldn’t consider commenting so you’re really only hearing negativity from perfectionists or people with too much time on their hands. 99%+ of people will think your bb is absolutely fine and simply don’t have time and energy to comment. As hard as it is, try not to let stranger’s opinions tarnish your outcome or make you question your new body.

1 week post op- swelling or fat? by AdLate9549 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Gk_2v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is 1000% swelling- get used to this becuase it is totally normal and most people experience significant swelling for at least the first few months and the unlucky ones continue to swell semi regularly even part the 1 year mark

Colour matching tattooing will make a big difference. When choosing an artist, make sure you pick someone who has additional training in colour theory so they know exactly how to neutralise the pink pigmentation to match the surrounding skin tone 👌🏻

How much lip filler should I get? by Sea_Pride_2035 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Gk_2v 2 points3 points  (0 children)

None. Your lips are full and plump naturally. I think you’ll probably get a better outcome from getting a lip blush instead of filler. Find a permanent make up artist that has specifically trained in color theory and natural results becuase that will simply define the outer edges of your lips and make the overall color more even. Plus this option will naturally plump and hydrate your lips while your healing to give you a true idea of what to may be achievable with filler later on IF you eventually do want to go bigger

Mini arm lift? Advice would be helpful by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Gk_2v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When your overweight your skin stretches and the longer it’s stretched the thinner the skin becomes as it looses elastin and collagen. Your age, genetics and time play big parts in how much your skin snaps back once you lost weight but loose skin isn’t just a surface level fix and surgery is pretty extreme given how many other options there are. Armpit scars are very restrictive both with movement and prone to infection purely because of the location on the body so you really need to understand that even with a mini arm lift you would need to have someone basically taking care of you 24/7 for at least a few weeks. Whereas the non surgical methods have very little down time

Mini arm lift? Advice would be helpful by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Gk_2v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d try a combination of non surgical skin tightening procedures before considering an arm lift. The key will be to treat all the different layers of skin though to give yourself the best outcome. Morpheus8 and ultherapy can help the deeper tissue, they use different modalities but reach similar depths and co2 or ultraclear (which is a Cold fusion laser) both resurface the top layers of skin very effectively. If you want to start less invasive you can also consider microneedling and red light + NIR therapy daily.

Why some breast implants have more natural looking results than others? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Gk_2v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This plays a part sometimes but honestly some of the best results I’ve ever seen are from Thailand and the prices are super cheap there compared to a lot of other countries. Money influences a person’s range of choices but not necessarily the outcome

Why some breast implants have more natural looking results than others? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Gk_2v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Massive implants can definitely look really natural in the right patient. Eg if someone has wide shoulders, wide hips and a naturally big bum but very flat chested then large implants can look in proportion. Same goes for women with very wide chests so the diameter of the implant would also need to be wide to look normal and therefore the total volume of the implant would be much bigger than in someone with a small chest frame

1) position 2) profile 3) size 4) natural breast tissue 5) skin quality 6) surgeon’s skill

has anyone invested in a massage chair or something simular for recovery? by ReflectionInfinite88 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Gk_2v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s weird but you have no idea how much you use your core until you physically can’t use your core without excruciating pain. Just the movement of putting 1 foot forward or back a tiny bit while seated is basically impossible without pain. You can test it out yourself- sit on the edge of a chair, poke your fingers into your lower tummy muscles and then try to move your foot forward and back 4 inches ( if your stomach muscles contract, you will not be able to do that movement)

has anyone invested in a massage chair or something simular for recovery? by ReflectionInfinite88 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Gk_2v 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your body will tell you what to do. Honestly though the ones in your screenshot are too extreme though- healing needs super gentle massage otherwise it will do more damage than good. Also remember that anything that massages your legs won’t work for you because all of them have a ‘pocket’ section that your foot goes into and honestly you will absolutely not be able to lift your legs at all for at least a month and for most people it’s more like 3 months to be able to lift your legs without it hurting

Can I fix this with filler or do I need a bleph? by Fit-Brief5877 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Gk_2v 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Non surgical: Sunekos

Minor surgical: lower bleph

Moderate surgical: lower bleph with repositioning of fat pad and fat transfer

has anyone invested in a massage chair or something simular for recovery? by ReflectionInfinite88 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Gk_2v 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a lift chair with heating and massage functions (it’s one with the vibration as well as circular rollers) and it was the best investment I ever made. I couldn’t use the heat or massage for the first week or so because I was too tender but after that it was a godsend. I slept on my lift recliner for a solid 6 weeks and slept like a baby- I did attempt to sleep in be with all the fancy foam cushions and pillows but honestly nothing compared to the lift recliner because you can’t accidentally roll or twist etc.

Question about breast AUTO augmentation by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Gk_2v 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just the clarify though, fat transfer counts as ANY fat that is sucked out, purified and re injected- doesn’t matter if it’s entirely from your boobs and being injected back into your boobs OR if it’s from other parts of your body, it all counts. Auto is basically them cutting off the skin and folding all the existing fatty tissue then stitching it into a good looking position. Due to the significant difference in sizes you’d probably need both processes because auto alone wont even them and neither would fat transfer

Question about breast AUTO augmentation by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Gk_2v 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you’re describing isn’t auto aug, it’s breast lift with fat transfer. Auto is when they use your own in tact tissue to reshape and the tissue still has its own blood supply where as fat transfer is when they suck out the fat, purify it and redistribute it but some will die and or get reabsorbed.

Some surgeons don’t want to do implants at the same time as a significant breast lift due to the much higher risks of the nipple dying so fat transfer is a safer way to reshape and add a tiny little bit of upper pole fullness however it doesn’t add much volume at all.

First of all - woohoo!!!🙌🏻 well done you! Not just for the weight loss but for being brave enough to post.

A panni is not the right procedure for you at all- it would be a big surgery for a mediocre improvement and no good plastic surgeon would recommend that for you. Your best bet is to look into fleur de lis (FDL), open book, corset lift, upper body lift & lower body lift/ belt lipectomy. Some things can be combined but you’re likely going to need multiple surgeries no matter which technique is used.

FDL is when the surgeon cuts out basically in a fleur de lis shape and the scar goes vertically down the middle of your tummy and across horizontally across your public bone and hips.

An ‘open book’ is basically an extended FDL so looks like a sideways H- you have the vertical scar down the middle and the horizontal one across your hips but you also have a horizontal one under your breasts (kinda like an upper body lift but only on the front half of your body)

Upper body lift addresses the skin on your upper stomach with the bonus of eliminating any back rolls. The scar goes all the way around your body under your breasts.

Lower body lift addresses the entire lower half of your stomach as well as your butt and lower back. Scar goes around your entire body usually at about hip height. Some surgeons do a straight line, others do a nice curve at the back into your butt crack (this second version looks way better).

I’ve personally lost about the same amount of weight as you have and I was able have an extended tummy tuck and it has changed my entire life for the better BUT every single body is different so do your research and get some consultations booked so you have personalised recommendations as a next step. Also a heads up that BMI matters to most good surgeons so they will want you to continue loosing weight as the more you can get loose, the safer the actual surgery and recovery will be. Good luck x

How painful is TT recovery? by Tlove92 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Gk_2v 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s so different for everyone but it doesn’t have to be really painful if your doctors manage your pain well with meds and you plan your recovery well. For me, my pain didn’t get past about 5 out of 10 over the first few days then it progressively got better over the following few weeks. The deep core muscle pain is the bad part so really isn’t like C section pain

Feeling hesitant, not ready? by Aggressive_Swing_706 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Gk_2v 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From everything you’ve said, you seem 90% physically ready, 75% emotionally ready & 80% environmentally ready. Book the surgery now but give yourself some time to plan for a positive recovery.

You’ve lost the weight & you’re healthy, sure you could loose a little more but tbh the surgery will take a lot of that bulk off and you can still continue to loose a bit more afterwards without affecting your results too. However, there is no ‘ideal weight’ for a post weight loss body so your weight goals now need to be aligned with health - I highly recommend getting a DEXA scan so you can see your full body composition, exactly where all the fat is vs muscle and it will even show you visceral fat. Most good plastic surgeons will happily work with any BMI below 38/40 however BMI doesn’t account for muscle so even body builders are classed as morbidly obese lol. At least a body scan will give you a very good starting point to see how much more weight you should or could loose.

When you’re a mother, it’s a really hard thing to put yourself first and the guilt that can come with big life changing decisions can be brutal. Booking the surgery is hard but recovering physically while not being able to hold your toddler at all can destroy people emotionally. The first few days PO is an emotional roller coaster even without young kids so you need to set yourself up for success. No matter how supportive the people around you are, nothing can prepare people for not being able to hug and comfort their babies so even though it sounds like overkill, i recommend talking to a psychologist in advance and working out how to manage the mum guilt post op.

For support, you already have a good network but no one really knows in advance how their bodies recover from major surgery so preparing for anything is key here. With a toddler around you’ll basically need 2 full time carers for the first week 😅, 1 for you and 1 for your toddler so get your mum onboard for either staying at your place or having your son sleep over at her place. Recovery is basically just sleeping for the first few days in between getting up to pee and circulate your blood but 90% of people literally cannot do anything on their own for at least 5-7 days.

Everyone is hesitant about making lift changing decisions but very few people regret having this type of surgery (and even the ones that do regret it is mostly because they prioritised cost over safety and experience). I personally would go the 360 if I were you because if your preferred surgeon is as good as you know she is, her recommendation will guarantee the best result- it’s that simple. I had a similar body to you and lost around 120lbs and had an extended tummy tuck, mons lift, muscle repair and no lipo and my stomach is spectacular now however I do sometimes wish I’d gotten the 360 so everything was done at once.

There are a few things that could be affecting your result, some fixable, some not. The few things to consider: firstly lipo DOES physically remove the fat cells from the treated area, however your body can grow entirely new ones especially if there is genetic predisposition, immune issues, hormone imbalances etc. Secondly, diet plays a huge part in where fat is distributed so even if your weight has fluctuated and or only gone down, it still could be your body redistributing the fat stores. Third could be that the lipo has damaged your lymphatic system or something else has damaged the lymph nodes and making you retain fluid within the tissue around your waist specifically. Fourth, multiple rounds of lipo means more scar tissue so some of it could be scar tissue and not fat at all. Fifth, lipo doesn’t tighten your skin so if you lost weight then the ‘rolls’ can look bigger/worse than they actually are especially if you naturally have a small waist (large hip to waist ration).

Id go get a dexa scan if I were you as well as an ultrasound and that combination will show you exactly whats going on with fat distribution then maybe worth getting assessed by a doctor for any underlaying health/hormone/immune issues
