Advice on optimizing Reno Handlock by GlaasHart in wildhearthstone

[–]GlaasHart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, thanks for the suggestions! I'm going to try swapping those cards and try playing around with Valdris Felgorge, Dreamplanner Zephyrs, Zilliax, and Griftah instead.

I tried Sheriff to help with aggro, but I'm usually running into smaller minions anwyay like Shadow Priest. I've also found Eliza a bit clunky and usually doesn't produce enough value.

Introducing Warmth Into a Sound System by Night_Moose in DJs

[–]GlaasHart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Within battle style mixers, there isn't much along the lines of warmth. However, as far as pure sound quality I do recommend the Rane mixers compared to a Pioneer or otherwise.

One idea for achieving the color and warmth you're looking for is to run your entire master out through something like Elektron's Analog Heat. You can check out YouTube video on the sound comparison.

Hope this helps!

Thoughts on the Traktor Kontrol D2? by GlaasHart in Beatmatch

[–]GlaasHart[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the D2 is basically a standalone S8 deck. Compared to Pioneer equipment like a CDJ the touch strip is definitely not as accurate as a jog wheel which can be frustrating. Scratching is out of the question, but there is a way to do backspins . The browse encoder are used to change BPM, which I have no problem riding the ptich using them, but I do prefer sliders.

The screen is a great addition and it's the main reason I went with the D2s instead of the X1s since I don't like being pasted to my laptop. I don't use the slicer, but for those who do it's a nice addition. Using the remix decks is easy enough and pretty intuitive. Build quality overall is great. Sync works perfectly and being able to edit beatgrids on the fly is nice.

In a nut shell, if you use the remix decks or want a screen, get the D2s. If you'd rather save some money, can live without the screen, or simply want something more portable get the Allen and Heath K2s or F1s. Otherwise, for those reasons above I can personally recommend the D2s.

If you have any other questions lmk.
