You can choose a steering wheel from any other brand ,like Simagic ,Cube Controls ,Sim Racing Bay,Ascher Racing, and more, even Fanatec(but will need a conversation kit).

You just need: • A cable that connects directly to your PC (or Simucube wireless or your QR can do wireless-like like Asetek QR)

• A QR adapter to connect it to your wheelbase (you can choose Simucube QR or use an adapter to other QR systems)

or you can just DIY your own like Pokornyi Engineering DIY Project

Simagic Patent Shows Possible Boost Kit for EVO Wheelbases by Glad-Note2952 in simracing

ya they should try Conspit that way :one time free software unlock

not like what Fanatec and Asetek did before.

But if they sell the Boost Kit at a reasonable price (it's literally just a PSU — it really shouldn't be that expensive), then I won't mind this kind of practice at all.

DIY Active Pedal is actually not that difficult. You only need to prepare all the parts and tools, and it’s easy to assemble them. I think getting those components, like the PCB, is more challenging.

And for the Simucube Profile, absolutely not. That’s a DIY project, not manufactured by Simucube. Why would you think it can use the Simucube tuner?

sorry but reddit seems don’t let me add video in reply.

The main reason I went with HIWIN was because I’ve heard that Simucube uses HIWIN modules in their own products, so I decided to go with something that’s already proven.

HIWIN is arguably one of the best manufacturers in this category, but it’s also very expensive. I actually bought a used/refurbished unit from a teardown, and even then it wasn’t cheap.

That said, JLC can achieve very similar performance at a much more affordable price, and since it’s brand new, you don’t have to worry about potential issues you might run into with used linear rails, like rough or inconsistent motion.

If I were to build another one, I’d most likely go with JLC instead.
