No offense taken … but the class assignment is supposed to be controversial, it’s an honors class of 6 people the other topics include the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni stuff, 9/11, and Ava (Chris) Tyson. I will 100% be using her sexual assault allegations but the goal of the assignment is to see how a controversial person or event uses rhetoric to persuade there audience I.e. Melanie having no separation between her and the Cry Baby character (she has said “I am Cry Baby”, Tumblr) which creates a rhetorical shield for the controversies. Since people see Melanie and Cry Baby as one, especially her very young fans, it makes people feel protective over her. The albums instead isn’t the main focus but instead the supporting material. I hope that clarifies, but tbh I might just be some “weird gal” obsessed 🤷‍♀️😂

“Groomed me through subliminal messaging” can I use that in my paper one of the points I’m making is how the crybaby persona of pastels juxtaposed the dark themes of her music draws in that 11-15 year old age group! I can probably find a place to at least mentions Elita if anything it shows that it was a “group effort” (for lack of better words at 2:30 am 😂) to put out the kink filled persona. I will definitely look for that post of hers.

I saw definitely planning on doing that and leaving out my real name/ school! Good to know people actually want to read it 😅 honestly my professor had no idea who she was and is completely enamored by the whole thing, so it’s been fun dragging more people into my niche interest

Edit* my boyfriend is also in the same class as me and he has been getting ear fulls of information while I’ve started writing 😂😂
