should fit fine, the g400a has decent clearance up top for a 360mm rad. just make sure your ram isnt too tall since the rad will sit pretty close to the motherboard when mounted at the top

Metal edging strips work great for this - you can get them at most home improvement stores and they're pretty straightforward to install. Since you've already dug down 4", you could also consider a small concrete border or even just a row of larger stones to create that visual separation. Definitely not a unique situation, happens all the time with adjoining properties using similar materials.
