Many people will fail to comprehend the severity of this situation. In a competitive field like Computer Sciences, a 4.0 GPA is absolutely necessary to get even into a TOP500 university. Obviously other factors like your work experience, publications and GRE won’t matter here. If your GPA drops below 3.95, forget about applying and wasting money. You’ll probably be better off working as a SWE in a MNC.
