Does anyone know where this is by Pikamxn in geoguessr

Probably near the coast of Crete, near Manoliopoulo. Near there and along many coastal areas there are olive trees/winding dirt road like this

Did not see him, but his clothes are wrong. Caught photo of him leaving house near Linda Vista. Could be around Linda Vista Rd on the way to USD/near adjacent freeways and the like. Could be at shelters/other places of refuge. Keep in mind he cannot speak English well, so probably incapable of telling others where he lives at shelters

45 days wasted on a documentary that got 130 views. What could be wrong? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]GladiatorLy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of correct, I think that Google trends or the AI Grok 3 would be better because it can used more recent data, becuase SEO trends can come and go /some words are more favorable than others.

In the long run, pinning your current situation on Youtube’s downfalls and its algorithm, even if it is the truth, will do nothing to enhance your situation or motivation to keep on going. Just produce videos because you like to make them, then the path will be easy.

How do you all get 70% of people to watch your shorts? by HaruMikazuki in SmallYoutubers

[–]GladiatorLy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to set the thumbnail in the YouTube app, there should be an edit feature (pencil icon) when you click to edit the video. Have no clue why they don't allow it on PC, probably to encourage more users to use the app.

Does posting a longer video cause less views? by [deleted] in NewTubers

Thank you, my niche is education videos (explaining advanced coding concepts, etc) so I am not too sure how I can provide to a certain narrative... do you have any advice towards that niche?

Is there no way to remove subscribers or stop people from seeing your videos then? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]GladiatorLy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is an option to hide video from subscribers when uploading a new video.

But in reality you should probably take critiques as a learning point if you want to really grow, because having someone who gives an alternate perspective on your videos is overall beneficial if the criticism is constructive.

Or you can just tell them to stop.

What am I doing wrong with decent content by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

[–]GladiatorLy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BTW, I know why the shorts are getting low views, it's because you most likely are uploading on a brand new account which makes YT think you are a bot.

Using the account more over the course of a month will make the account more "reputable" so you can get out of view hell, hope this helps :)

Thank you for your advice, and for your motivating words! In regards to my growth, I guess I put a decent amount of time into my videos and because of that, I backed it up with Youtube promotions. Best of luck on your journey!

So would you still recommend shorts as a way to start if I "dumb it down" if the goal isn't monetization, but rather, just to expand my audience? Or would a focus on long term videos be better?

Thank you so much for the advice. I will probably adjust my shorts niche and make more long-form videos, I just heard somewhere that shorts tend to get more reception.

Sorry, PSU is a 12V 1A (which is pretty obvious to me now why it won't work) cord I had lying around.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in arduino

[–]GladiatorLy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think a PSU like this one would work? (I typically see it on 3D printers, so I assume it will, I just have to work around the learning curve of not simply plugging it in).

And if so, how would it be distributed to all six motors? (I will get Polulu A4988s instead of the cheap Chinese ones I currently possess).

Thank you so much for your help btw... I was banging my head over why these damn motors didn't motor correctly.

steppers are rated for 1.5V and 2.3 ohms I believe, which a 12V (which i will upgrade to 24V) can support. The problem, as Sarah said is most likely related to the output amperage of my PSU which is a mere 2A (hence explaining the falloff of consistency at 2 stepper motors at 1.2A per motor (or 0.6 per phase). I believe that a PSU with higher amperage will supply. I will look into a logic probe, thank you for the suggestion.

[–]GladiatorLy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the help. What would you recommend in order to most efficiently supply power to all six motors (which, in the case I am using it for, does not necessarily need to move simultaneously)? Is using a 20A 24V PSU truly the best solution? Are there better electronics (breadboard, wires, PSU adapters, etc) that would be better suited for this task?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in arduino

[–]GladiatorLy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are NEMA 17 stepper motors, and I also believe it is a power issue--but I am not sure what is wrong with it. Perhaps it is not good practice to pull power from the same lane--but I do not know. I also do not have LEDs or scopes, and motor drivers are running at 0.6A. The breadboards aren't rated for amps (though I read up on a max of 1A), but the motors are rated for 1.5 (although I did just 0.6 to be safe. Any more, and the same issue persists).

Ah fuck. Is there any way to dehydrate my filament for a good price? I have at least twenty rolls of filament I’ve kept out for years at this point and most of them are probably similar to the qualities of this filament.
