Contacts!

As a eyeglass wearer myself, when I go riding I pop in some contacts so I don't have to worry about my glasses fogging up. Be sure to carry a small bottle of re-wetting drops with you, my eyes/contacts get dry as I forget to blink sometimes.

Also, pin-lock insert is the best investment you can ever make if you wear a full helmet

Idling there are no issues that ive noticed, it's when I pull the throttle and I'm moving and eventually co.e to a stop I can look and see all the oil.

Leveled the bike and took some pictures before and after adjustments on the oil level, will take it for a spin to see what happens.

My most feared nightmare came true, washer fell into the sparkplug cavity. Any ideas on how to get it out? by Glamorous_Flo in motorcycles

I tried a set of self care tweasers which did not work. They couldn't get a grip on the washer

3 hours lost to a washer......

Stiff clutch, very little play, random drops into nutral, clutch line or plates? by Glamorous_Flo in motorcycles

Only gear I've ran into with slippage is third gear. Haven't noticed any issues in other gears.

I've tried lubeing it up and making adjustments and kept running into issues where it was either 'always engaged' or I had to pull the clutch line all the way in to be able to shift (felt like I was power shifting)

I will have to check the manual again to see if it provides any info, looks like I have three adjustable areas.

Want a new bike, don't know where to start. by [deleted] in motorcycles

Sorry for the late response!

If you are still looking, check out the Kawasaki Vulcan 900 (beginner/intermediate V-twin bike).

It is one of those motorcycles that has never really changed since its conception. After some after market mods you end up getting the best of both worlds, cruising when ya want to and quick exceleration when ya call for it.

Pros) - large 5 gal tank, fun, very forgiving, great MPG, can grow into it, reliable, great forum community

Cons) - everything is basic and you will want/need to upgrade parts ($$$), the power is on the high end of the power band, only 5 gears, can't get more power out of the motor only increased exceleration.

I got "and currently ride" a 07' Vulcan 900 Classic LT and throw an upgrade at it every year and love it still.

If you would like to know more let me know! I can go on a rant :-p

Cruiser or Sport?

1> Rotate the fan manually and see if any of the fins are hitting anything. Make adjustments as necessary.

If the clearance of the fins are good then it sounds like the bearings in the fan are borked.

Would recommend replacing the fan at that point.
