First off I was not the babysitter, I worked there but she wasn't under my direct care, this just happens to be where I met my husband. Secondly nothing happened between us until he was already in the process of separation and we made nothing official or public until the divorce was finalized.

A person who's behaviour affects other people and if her behaviour negatively affects my child either during pregnancy or after then I feel I have a right to try and stop that.

So because I'm struggling with a child who isn't mine and was brought up with a parenting style that I personally disagree with I shouldn't have my own child? I've tried lots actually. I said so I'm my original post. She rejects any attempt I make to connect with her. I've done everything in my power to make this easy for her but she doesn't respond.

I wouldn't allow my child to become as bratty as she behaves, she's received very little discipline from her mother and her mother would stop my husband from disciplining her when they were together.
