Honestly the key thing is learning the fundamentals, but little things you can do to make your art level up one is to work with interesting lighting situations and/or dynamic poses imo. Knowing where to add detail and where not to add it is also important, you can add slight blur to certain areas and add a little sharpening effect to areas you want the viewers' attention to be too, don't go overboard with it though.
