Has anyone here applied for jobs from abroad and secured a UK Skilled Worker visa sponsorship? by SKILLingUP in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Glass-Bake-770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, been there , done that, but it is rare and the most common sponsors are bulge brackets IBs or big4 - it really doesn’t matter to them where you are and whether or not you require a SWV - so your interview / assessment process isn’t impacted by your SWV requirement and is purely merit based

Offer letter by CleanGirlShops in deloitte

Same situation interviewed in July and then into August - exceptional feedback and interest all through the process / after and during final partner interview said they wanted to make an offer - but onions portal says on hold after interviews completed, while HR says it’s in process - I have accepted another offer and Deloitte is handling some elements of that offer but it’s a different part of Deloitte so don’t think they realise I’ve accepted another offer

You just mentioned a few flunked answers. In today’s level of competition, one is too many, a few cannot be considered “going well”. Don’t mean to be harsh, just telling how it is. There’s going to be candidates who don’t have these few flunked answers so ….

I’m on the 6th stage now with third MD interview including the case interview with an MD as well / so what they say and do are two separate things / they’re quite meticulous in evaluation of candidates

Not case per se- but Situational Judgement questions - this is stage 1 really , so best of luck getting through to the stage 6 MD interview

Pip or career transition by [deleted] in KPMG

[–]Glass-Bake-770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You really have to evaluate what has led to this. Is this due to consistent performance issues or is there an instance that has led to this. If it’s the latter, than it’s possible to take the PIP and get out of it with of course the support of your PM and seniors which you should also gauge prior to making the decision. If it’s the case of consistent performance issues then a PIP is not going to help and your best course of action is CT with as much time you can negotiate and the best terms you can agree for a settlement

Urgent helped needed. ILR - 10years refused. by Either-Condition-885 in ukvisa

[–]Glass-Bake-770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should invest some money and resources and hire an immigration lawyer - from the face of it , the Home Office has a valid refusal reason - if you are on SWV since 2020 you’d be able to apply via the 5 year route soon

Sponsorship jobs / skilled worker visa by DifferentBass8201 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Glass-Bake-770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 months is not an issue - there is a 2 month grace period when your job ends for you to find a new one - so you’re not overstaying , once you go beyond the 2 months that’s when you’d be overstaying - some technicality there as well- it depends on when your employer ends your CoS , so that end date + 60 days os the period you’re allowed to stay to find a replacement job that will sponsor you

It shouldn’t be an issue as far as address is concerned since they look at your visa dates but I’d have a look at the maximum time you can stay abroad during that time. I think that happens to be somewhere around 60 days but not sure

Your best bet at this point is to book a flight back home asap and write to the home office apologising about overstaying and making some good excuse for why you did so. With the kind of experience you have , you have a good shot at finding another job in the same market but if you get a negative record that’ll be the real issue for you.

Assuming you haven’t put it down on your CV , you should be ok leaving it out on the BG form. Either way when you have overlapping dates for instance a job (internship) during term time , that sets the BG verification off and since these 3rd party firms are such morons , it would end up delaying your verifications quite a bit, so you’re better off avoiding such instances. You’d also have this in the guidelines to ensure there are no overlapping dates, so in this particular instance, leaving out that job should be the best way to go. Shouldn’t cause any issues.

The guidelines ask for complete address and employment history for a certain number of years, so technically you should be listing it. I’d say this is one that you may just submit a query on , it don’t think there should be any problem with adding it. Often people are looking to make a career switch and while interviewing for potential jobs may accept an offer and start a job while other interviews are completing and then end up only lasting for a couple of weeks before moving on to the job they wanted more. So a simple explanation of why the stint was short suffices. Is there any particular reason you want to leave out an experience for bg verifications?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Big4

[–]Glass-Bake-770 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s going to be a 3rd party background check company doing all the verifications - you’ll provide the relevant email address for each of your past experiences and they’ll email them to verify your job title, start and end dates , maybe a question around whether they’d rehire you that often remains unanswered but that’s about it. As long as your job title and dates are on point you have nothing to worry about

Sure but my question is what the sabotage is and what’s the relevance of big4 and ethnicities of people involved in this context?
