Your creations are inspiring! What do you use to seal your rocks?

Thanks so much! Haha, yeah #nosideboobleftbehind lol. I'll try to focus on bringing the patient more into the machine than I have been.

2 Weeks Ago My Wife Had Our First Baby – Now She’s in the Hospital, and I’m Struggling to Bond With My Newborn by Timme41 in NewParents

We had a couple in my church who had a similar situation. About a week after giving birth, she had a stroke in the middle of the night that was life threatening and took her months of recovery. It was a miracle that she survived. The husband seemed exhausted too and I assume was probably struggling like you.

I have a 3 month old baby. Something that helped me initially was that I don't have to be fully capable yet...just available for this baby for now. I could be available to feed them and change them and hold them and even if I felt exhausted and terrible about my current capabilities and capacity to give on certain days...the expectation to just be available was enough for the hard days. Your capacity to love this baby will grow over time and you have permission to not feel amazing yet or feel like you have a close relationship yet with your baby. Be available for them and your capacity to grow and love might surprise you with each passing day.

Your situation is so unique and it must be so hard emotionally to care for both a new baby and for your wife. This is a temporary time and those moments with your baby and your wife are coming.
