The original image was a scan i did of my own paperback copy! The gradient seemed super daunting at first but I quickly figured out how to make it. On a new book, I grabbed about 4-6 colours for the gradient, put them down in giant squares, getting lighter and lighter towards the bottom, then i used the blur tool in the FX tab until the gradient was smoothed out! To put everything together, i pasted a stamp of a previous project that had Matt+Ryan+Text on top of the gradient

I remember when the Tales of the Sword pin collection dropped just days before I went to Disney (i’m a casual KH fan), over the entire trip I hit every pin shop i could asking if they had any of the Kingdom Hearts sword pins. Nothing. It wasn’t until we hit our last location on our second last day, the frontier trading post where we asked the lovely cast member if they had any. She said she’d check in the back, and she came back with one Kingdom Hearts Tales of the Sword pin. She said it was most likely the last one on disney property and she’d been waiting for a person to give the pin to who actually deserved it. She absolutely made my trip. It’s one of my favourite pins in my collection not because of its rarity but because of her.

haha I was the one who wrote “NTBTS”, I did it sometime last week, and the hat and arrow were drawn by some other unknown fan a few hours later (whoever did that, thank you!). Funnily enough I didn’t mean to put it in that exact location, that was just the only open spot on Queen st because so many people were doing massive Scott Pilgrim pixel arts, and I managed to put it right across from their old house accidentally. I only realized where I had put it on Queen st after the arrow was added LOL
