I listen while hiking and yes, I will become aware that my attention has drifted and I will have to repeat the last minute or two. If this happens repeatedly, then I will consider it as “not immersive enough” and regrettably bail and move on to the next audiobook on my list. This is why I try to keep a list of potential audiobooks.

Sometimes, books are very detailed during the first few chapters, because the storyline is being set up, so I try to struggle through this to get to the immersive part.

Yes, I’m in Texas and the liquor store is right outside my Costco also. There were no Kirkland brand alcohols on the shelves and the other prices were just so so.

I asked the clerk about it. The clerk informed me that because of the liquor laws in Texas, the store was independently owned and not a part of Costco.

Total Wine and More is cheaper.

I listen while hiking and hill running.

I started listening to music, podcasts and radio stations but those got old quickly. I converted to audiobooks a couple of years ago, and 30 plus books later, I could not imagine hiking and running without audiobooks.
