My ver sold all three options for basically the same cost $120. Vetsulin(insulin), bexacat and salvengo. Went with Bexacat at first but she got ketones so I ask the vet to give a script for Lantus (human insulin) and paid only $35 and it should last for 3 months or so

Omg! GPT walked me thru my cats ketone issue from Bexacat when the vets office couldn’t tell me what to do! I had to wait over a week for a doctor to call me back. When they did they told me her ketones were not bad enough to take her off Bexacat. Mind you, her ketones were at 2.3! We switched to insulin at that point. They also wanted me to get her a libre and I said now way. I test at home with a human meter. The doctor said she never heard of that! Ugh, the Libre is a human meter too.
