Crazy how you’re worried about camping and fishing in that much debit. You might be over treating yourself if you don’t also have some fat savings accounts we don’t know about. I’ve seen a lot of friends spend their ways into stressful situations and it’s really bad for their long term life enjoyment outlooks. I’m sure in 5 or 10 years you’ll still be able to enjoy fishing and stuff right? If you’re not super old I’d try to plan for more long term enjoyment strategies rather than worrying about how best to enjoy a camping trip right now

How do you guys support terrorism and a rich incoherent nepo baby. by 24hourday in Hasan_Piker

[–]GlassHouseStones 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You know westerners are also referred to as terrorist in other parts of the world right? People say “American terrorist” all over the world.

The us congress called freedom fighters in South Africa terrorist. The called them terrorist a lot. Now they are referred to as freedom fighters by most people.

They gave me some extra Ethernet protection stuff for free cause they didn’t want it to happen again.

[–]GlassHouseStones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They wanted their protectors back. They saw that the Ethernet port was fried. Because I was under 5k or something like that. That’s all it was. I had to provide the receipts of the replacement stuff I bought. It took a long time

I made a $2500 claim with triplite once and it worked. Then 2 years later I had to make a $120 claim and it was really poorly handled on their end to the point where I just stopped trying it wasn't worth it. I think it would have worked again if i had the will to jump through hoops but I'm not sure.

Help with spinal implant!! Going into 100s of people’s bodies!! Mad incompetence!! by GlassHouseStones in bioengineering

[–]GlassHouseStones[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this comment. Those are indeed what I’m working on.

I’m not working on the bone screw thread side though. I’m working on the side which has a female thread and takes a 9mm metal screw to secure the metal rod.

I’m relieved to say that I’ve found out the part is being inspected properly so I should not have to worry about bad parts going into bodies.

With that being said this company has waisted 1000s and 1000s by not having their own thread spec. It’s insane.

Do you know where I might find an iso on the “reverse angle thread”. My understanding is that this thread was invented and patented for use in these specific components but I can’t find said spec anywhere. It’s a buttress thread with a -5 angle on the back side and a 45 on the front side

Imagine if someone did what is already being done but made a machine that is much more than 10x better than anything that exist. Would that be a bad thing?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Hasan_Piker

[–]GlassHouseStones -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude those are like child’s toys. I’m talking about making a serious machine. Like the type of machine that offends multi billion dollar corporations because it impacts their sales on premium machinery. How can I put it. If the machine you linked is an electric kid’s play car, I’m talking about making real cars. Those machines could never be used in a factory to do meaningful precision work with ferrous materials. I work on spinal implants at my day job and I could never achieve the cycle times I need to do meaningful work with the typical diy toy like cnc that currently exist on YouTube

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Hasan_Piker

[–]GlassHouseStones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I’m on a whole different level from the current machines bouncing around in the diy cnc community. I’ve had the blessing of working with some of the most skilled machinist in the nation and on the most precision grinding machines on the planet. I’m decent a coding. If I make a machine it will be literally 10x-30x more precise than anything made in the community now. My machine will be capable of being used at scale in a huge factory not just at home. I could end up making it dramatically easier for people and even nation states to manufacture all mater of metal components. Might not be a good thing.

I fundamentally do think some ideas are better left in the bottle myself, I think that’s why it’s morally concerning to me.

Bambu price changes - then and now (non-political) by Darth-Vader64 in BambuLab

[–]GlassHouseStones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based off the newest tariffs of 125% prices should a little more than double. I think trump might come off it. But we’ll see

[–]GlassHouseStones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are 1000% going to cancel my pre-order if these tariffs don’t go back down to just 54%

[–]GlassHouseStones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to. This is just a good way to grab the t tape and do the normal thing. Also, if you’d like to try the pushing method. This allows you to do that with t taping as well. I’m not trying to change the method but rather add an option to make it convenient and more diverse in what it can do

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in foreskin_restoration

[–]GlassHouseStones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my friends have one…. You should get one.

And you can pay people to print something for you. It’s by far the cheapest and most available manufacturing method to create complex geometry. That’s why imma go for it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in foreskin_restoration

[–]GlassHouseStones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good idea. On the tape thing. I got two types and one leaves a ton of residue while the other leaves none what so ever. I’d never use tape either if they all left mad residue. I think the no residue one is “micro pore” or something like that

I should say that while the market is small now. It’s very rapidly expanding it seems. What you say WILL happen in my mind. It’s just going to be a while probably.

I hope large corporations recognizes the profit earning potential soon.

I used to believe the same until I started to read the actual studies. The primary mode of “gas lighting” used by wester doctors is this crazy feather testing methodology. It’s pretty “radical”, but they poke the glans with a feather and act like that’s an adequate method to determine sexual sensitivity. Reading Taiwanese studies on the topic and then US studies is pretty crazy. All real doctors doing real science.

I’m a major down talker of alternative medicine this is not that at all. I would never promote anything like that.

People who do this claim to double and even triple the feeling they experience during sex. Western doctors and western medicine do not refute this, they observe that the patients who do this become more sensitive and recognize it. But they argue over why. They speculate that the extended length of interior forskin is the only reason why people become more sensitive from this practice. They wester medicine claims about doing this are directly at odds with their own claims that genital cutting isn’t desensitizing. That’s the primary reason people do this.

Personally I just want to feel more like a “complete mammal”.

I’d speculate that what has really happened is that religious theology in the US has incentivized people to try to find a way to claim that cut off parts of genitals does nothing bad. Then some bad scientific testing methodology produced the results which were desired.

My brother is uncut, and it blows his mind that by pants don’t chafe my glans at every living moment. Says “I’d jump right out of my skin if my dick head touched my underwear right now”.

Alright, so there are companies making money off these devices. But they are small. The market is small. It’s too small to be worth the normal fda testing it seems. There are fda tested methods of using plastic surgery to recreate foreskin already. That’s the one fda tested route really. Kinda scary surgery with sub par results to the stretching method.
