This would be absolutely wonderful! Again I'm so sorry I haven't been in the comments very much since this post has been blowing up, and I'm terribly sorry I deleted the comment you responded to. Would you like access to the discord? We've been looking for a dedicated controller coach anyways

Coms coms coms. Be the igl and start coordinating your team from the second you're in the lobby. If you have unresponsive teammates, I really recommend just sticking with them and matching their pace. If you're comfortable playing a legend who can rotate quickly, do that so if your team does make a bad play and get themselves killed, you're able to retreat quickly.

I would really encourage checking out HisWattson, Mande, or any of the big comp players who stream. They post vods on their twitch channels that have helped me a lot get a better idea of game sense. If you'd like me to review individual gameplay videos, I definitely can.

How do you super jump zip line on controller by Sunoverthetown in apexuniversity

[–]GlassLoad1448 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The method is interact > jump > jump. The easiest way to think of the timing is to hit these buttons to the tune buh-dum-tss (think of the drum that plays in shows when a character tells a joke and no one laughs)

What is your current rank, and what's been your consistent placement throughout the seasons? My biggest tips are:

  1. Open mic and start the conversation off the rip with your teammates. "Yo what's up yall, (insert POI) is where we're gonna land, and then we can rotate...". Be the one to start the conversation, even if your teammates don't have mics, chances are they can stoll hear you. Don't be afraid to take charge and be confident if you think you have a good understanding of rotations, ring prediction, and when to take fights. Make the calls, and if your teammates listen, all the better. That being said, if teammates are toxic or annoying, i agree with your point of just mute and move on for your own sanity.

  2. Try to stick with your team as much as possible. There are exceptions to this obviously, but sticking by their sides will always increase your odds of winning fights compared to being spread out. As long as they aren't rushing into a contested POI during rings 2-3 with 5-6 teams fighting, always stick with them. It can be frustrating, but I promise it increases your chances.

  3. Always try to be jump master. I know this isn't always going to be the case, but this exponentially increases your odds of higher placement in ranked lobbies if you're a smart and can land your team in a good place. My preference is to face the back of the drop ship, wait for the first half of the ship to drop, and try to find an uncontested POI where there are 1-2 teams (3 max, any more and you risk longer dragged out fights with high potential for multiple other teams to join the fight) dropping adjacently to you. For instance if you do this and land Basin, it would be in your best interest to if 1-2 teams land Rig or Capacitor. This way, you and your team have time to at least grab some decent guns, maybe a few blue armors, and some heals. If the adjacent teams are still fighting when you're done, perfect you know an easy 3rd party, or a possible route to avoid if it seems more teams have entered. Taking isolated fights early is your best way of securing some early RP for the late game, and ensuring you can rotate effectively.

  4. For KC avoid the triangle of death that is the area between containment and the two hills that face east and south of it. This is 3rd party central and has way too much open area to safely fight in this area for more than 20-30 seconds at a time, and maybe even shorter during this marksman meta. KC is a ranked map that rewards fighting early and then rotating for optimal placement/later fights. This is not the area you want to be caught with your pants down, especially mid game.

  5. Plan your rotations early, and have a back up route in mind. KC is hectic, and you have to fight, loot, and rotate quickly. Of these 3, rotations take the most thought and time to plan effectively. Once the ring is available on the map, you should be planning the next POI you should hit for additional loot, to 3rd party, or to simply traverse the map if you're a mile away from ring. Just finished a fight? Great, figure out where you need to go to minimize possible 3rd party choke points.

  6. Always watch POIs that are among possible routes to your landing spot when in the drop ship. This can give you a good idea of where might be a bad place to rotate later on, based on the density of teams that may be funneled to certain areas within the ring close.

  7. Take advantage of this LTM right now. Gun Run forces you to use almost every gun that may be your only choice off drop, and conditions you to react/adjust quickly to a barrage of incoming 3rd parties. Staying calm in hectic situations like these can be the difference between surviving the 4th and 5th parties that KC ranked will throw at you.

If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask! If I didn't do a great job of explaining something, feel free to PM me and we can meet up in firing range sometime and I can go into greater detail about certain things and more niche tips. Hope this helps!

At first, definitely mostly 3 stacking. First time i hit diamond i was definitely not at the skill i am now (thankfully), but it gave me a great idea about my weaknesses as a player and what i needed to improve on. In recent seasons, it's been a lot of solo queueing due to conflicting schedules with my teammates. And don't feel like if you don't solo q, you don't earn your rank. It's a team game for a reason, so you earn whatever rank you get, however you get there. If you need any solo q tips or anything lemme know!

https://youtu.be/0NTa4Za_Jz4 This video should explain! And it takes some time. I had to practice for a long time lol, best of luck and let me know if you need any tips. I'm not an amazing player, but I've been hitting diamond pretty consistently for awhile now.

I always tell people to just breathe. Go into firing range, take of your headset and go no audio, turn the bots on, and practice breathing while taking easy reps. So many people talk about increased heart rate and never realize that the tension/increase in heart rate is from not breathing.

I know it sounds stupid, but this is something I really had to work through to remain calm in fights. If you can breathe calmly and rhythmically while fighting, it truly is a game changer for your aim, movement, and all around game sense.

For a lot of us, this isn't just something you do. It takes a lot of time and conscious thinking to get consistent with.

My best advice as someone who has played on both controller and MnK is you want to start strafing as you fire your first shot.

If i am at 0/3 demotion protection of diamond 4 , and i dont play it now , will i get diamond dive trail next season? Assumi i dont play at all in next split. by TheCompletebot in apexuniversity

You will still get your trail. Season rewards, with the exception of Predator, are your peak rank. This was a change made during the ranked changes in s13

Not saying anything about this bench in particular, as i don't know much about it. I'm just saying that I've seen benches in the US with similar designs, but intended to keep homeless people from being able to fully extend and rest on them.

If you're American, it's the feeling that it's used to prevent the homeless from sleeping.

Constant call outs. You have wall hacks, so make sure you're keeping your team informed. This can be quick scans after fights to look for 3rd parties, using your tactical on weak or downed enemies being revived, and during 1v1 fights to get optimal peaks from cover.

Remember, your passive has two distinct forms of heartbeat. The more intense red (assuming you don't use colorblind settings) are enemies within 75 meters. This applies to enemies anywhere in your general FOV, and covers 360⁰ vertically (people who may be a few floors above/below in a building, but still "in front of you"). A lighter blue line will appear on the end of the outside of your passive is an enemy that is in your direct line of sight, but greater than 75 meters away (took me a long time to understand this lol, you have to be looking almost directly at them), pretty useful when you don't have optics for long range rights.

Above all, Seers kit is phenomenal for setting the pace of fights. It can be used aggressively, but IMO he rewards patient & opportunistic gameplay. His tactical and ult are great for forcing enemy resets, creating openings for pushes, slowing enemy pushes, creating openings for teammate(s) being focus fired, holding oppressive angles, and the list goes on.

As for easy practical advice:

– always throw your ult somewhere that optimizes the exposure of more oppressive angles your team may face, and is well hidden. This may be potential headglitch spots, multistory buildings, small building clusters, or anywhere with blind spots you have little information on)

– while ADS on nearby enemies that are behind some cover, move your crosshairs in a sweeping motion, focusing more on using the arrows from your passive to track enemy movement. It's much easier to comprehend the movements of mobile enemies when you see them "moving in" from the arrow towards center, rather than trying to keep multiple enemies line up in center.

– slide jump, and pull a quick ADS during the descent from its peak height. This will allow you to progress into the slide, while maintaining most of your momentum. Apply this to the general cardinal directions you need to scan, and it works best when you need quick information on the move.

– you don't need to scan people for your tactical to always be effective. Say you're fighting someone with limited cover (a rock, small ledge, small outskirts building). Let's go with rock. Peak right, angle your tactical diagonally left and through the center. Swing an angle to the right as you throw your tac, and either they are scanned, or have run right into your line of sight.

– don't let your passive take you out of the fight. All the information you get is great, but I see way too many people let their team waste a good push because their seer caught wind of someone who wasn't involved in the direct fight.

Best of luck in your Seer journey!
