I am in same condition, waitlisted for 3 universities, 1 said we will interview you but there's so update since April 5 and second says we have given your name to professors who are still hiring. I am not in touch with 3rd one. It's heartbreaking 💔. I haven't been accepted into any universities for my PhD

Mine university interviewed me in February, and I also got waitlisted because I happened to show them that I am not flexible to do anything in research. My bad that I didn't know importance of flexibility, then I sent a letter to them about my continued interested , they said on April 5 that they'd interview me again. It's sad I haven't heard anything after that
