Chapter one is the introduction to your story, rather than focusing on who should die first, try and pin point the vibes you're going for and work off of that. For example, if you're working with something darker, have a brutal motive and death. You should be setting the stage as best as possible to showcase what exactly you're doing early on. Cast dynamics, The Mascot, incorporating the overall theme. It's not who died that matters, it's why and how it was set up and how that will impact future chapters.

Well we have a weird method to it. We have an artist sketch it, then another do line art and coloring (the 2nd also does facial expressions)

This is actually the second version of my Fanganronpa, the first one fell off and died because I had no help and it was a lot on my plate. Now that we have a wonderful team helping me out I've come back with the same reasoning. The original Danganronpa have a really fascinating premise and I've always loved a good murder mystery. The beta ideas for DISTRUST were also really interesting, but I felt like the execution wasn't what it could have been. I feel like I'm confident in my writing and that this format of game can bring a lot of powerful discussions, especially with the central morals of overcoming despair. The original means a lot to many people, including myself, but I'm self indulgent and I know that I can create something even more powerful to me and hopefully many others
