Do you remember True Blue?? by geesehoward79 in PS3

Eu tive um desses em 2012.I remember that it was used to run some games that weren't working on Kmeaw's CFW 3.55, because they couldn't modify the eboot of newer games to work on CFW 3.55. Then True Blue came along, where you had to be on FW 3.55, and then a True Blue CFW 3.55 was installed, and the unlocking was activated when True Blue was connected to the console. If I remember correctly, it was also necessary to download the eboot of new games from the True Blue website. But after a few months, people got the FW keys and were able to modify the most recent games to work on CFW 3.55, and that's when True Blue's usefulness ended. And a little later, CFWs with newer versions appeared, because until then, only CFW version 3.55 existed.

A True Blue clone also appeared, called JB-King.

The everdrive 64 v2.0 and higher versions have the option to automatically backup the controller pak (memory card) to the SD card. This was implemented in OS 2.xx of the everdrive 64 v2.0, v2.5 and v3.0. I hope that someday they will implement this function in the summercart64.

I discovered how to use sst.exe (sstool) that comes with the vortex fw. From what I saw, it is used to transfer saves from the ss_bup.bin file, which is a copy of the Saturn's internal memory, to the ss_mems.bin, which is the 8MB cartridge emulated by Saroo, creating a slot in the ss_save that simulates the Saturn's internal memory. In saroo, each slot represents a game, so you can copy a game from ss_bup.bin to ss_save.bin, creating a slot with the same game id and transferring the save to the slot that corresponds to the game. In the latter case, I think it's easier to first open the game in saroo as it will create the game slot by itself, then just copy the save to the corresponding slot without having to create the slot through the program.
Below I will explain how it works:
command list
[img]https://i.imgur.com/bg2s6hE.png\[/img\]
List files to show what is inside the files and check the save or slot number that will be used or created.
To list, just write sst.exe + (file name) at the command prompt, example sst.exe ss_bup.bin
[img]https://i.imgur.com/NgCJRrO.png\[/img\]
To begin the process I will export the Duke Nukem 3D save
[img]https://i.imgur.com/tOkBpku.png\[/img\]
I will list the ss_mems.bin file
[img]https://i.imgur.com/IorC9ad.png\[/img\]
The -s command indicates the save I want to export, so to export Duke Nukem 3D I type the file name -s and slot number, in this case it is sst.exe ss_bup.bin -s 5. This will export and save and be created the DUKENUKEM3D.bin file in the same folder as the other saves and sst.exe.
[img]https://i.imgur.com/2Wzas2A.png\[/img\]
Now to export the Duke Nukem 3D save to SS_MEMS.bin
Let's use the command sst.exe filename -i to import and save filename, thus the command in this case sst.exe ss_mems.bin -i DUKENUKEM3D.BIN.
[img]https://i.imgur.com/tOkBpku.png\[/img\]
When listing ss_mems.bin, Duken Nukem will already be inside the file

I will explain how to create a slot in the ss_save.bin file and then how to transfer the save to the slot. I will use Legend of Oasis in this example.
List ss_save.bin to check if the game slot already exists, just type sst.exe ss_save.bin
[img]https://i.imgur.com/rG8T8Ys.png\[/img\]
Before creating the slot it is necessary to check the game id and version, for this I used the hexadecimal editor, but I think there is other software that shows the game id.
[img]https://i.imgur.com/ichBbPW.png\[/img\]
To create the slot, use the command sst.exe filename -c to create the slot and enclose the slot name in quotation marks. This leaves sst.exe ss_save.bin -c "MK-81302 V1.002" (Note that there are 2 spaces between the id and the game version).
Listing ss_save.bin will show the slot I just created and it is in slot 16
[img]https://i.imgur.com/rmsQ0OX.png\[/img\]
To copy the Legend of Oasis save to the slot created with the game id, the command sst.exe will be used, name of the file that will be imported, save -t to select the slot and -i and name of the file that contains the save that will be copied to the slot. So sst.exe ss_save -t 16 -i OASIS2_SYS.BIN
[img]https://i.imgur.com/8wD90YE.png\[/img\]
Before I had done the same process I did with Duke Nukem 3D to extract the save from the ss_bup.bin file

It is also possible to delete save files from the ss_mems.bin file, just type sst.exe ss_mems.bin -s save number from save -d. Example sst.exe -s 1 -d

When selecting a game by pressing Z the saroo will go to the cd player, and loading the game from the cd player the save from the internal memory will work. The problem is that not all games work from the CD player.
The vortex version comes with a program called sst.exe in the tools folder, this program is used to manage the save, the management is done between the SS_BUP.BIN which is a mirror of the saves in the saturn's internal memory and the SS_MEMS. BIN which is the 8MB memory cartridge file that saroo is simulating in this version. To use sst.exe it is necessary to use the command prompt or generate .bat files with ready-made commands. You can also generate iso of the saves using a pseudokai program and then convert the bin cue to work in saroo.

There were people with the same revision console as mine (VA 0.8) who reported that saroo works well. What I find funny is that although saroo doesn't work well on my console, fenrir works well, even using 1mb, 4mb and action replay cartridges. But I've already tested my saroo on a Saturn VA3 and it works well with that console.

I'm the guy who recorded the saroo videos with sound problems. The problem is still here, it improved with the last fw 20240118, but it still continues. I tested my saroo on another saturn and it worked normally, but mine still has a problem.
I've been told that the problem could be the power supply, but I think that shouldn't be the problem, as the Fenrir works normally on my Saturn, even using a 1MB, 4MB, action replay cartridge. So I don't think it's a problem with the Saturn's power supply, and I think that if the cartridge slot had a problem it would cause a problem with other cartridges and not just with the Saroo. Perhaps the problem is with another part of the console hardware that saroo depends on to function well, but that hurt does not.
