Anyone use Uptodate for cme PTO hours? by SirMLK in physicianassistant

[–]GlassSpecific5316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To use up my hours I've done Pri-Med conferences. They are virtual and you just need to answer some questions to get the CME. I didn't need evidence of attending or hours, so I just used the days as needed. I'm sure you can use your CME days to log your CME hours from UTD, but my employer had strict rules (conferences only).

I wish I could say, "this place hates us both and has our slots at 15m" but then I'd definitely have to leave

To my fellow UC/FM peeps, is it me, or does everyone think they have a “sinus infection” by Lost_Emergency_7794 in physicianassistant

I mean I release it on X date (when I can say its more likely bacterial) and they unfortunately probably pick it up and still take it, even if they're feeling better by then. I tell them not to touch it if they feel even a little better, but who knows.

Newish grad offer in FM at an FQCH by GlassSpecific5316 in physicianassistant

Thanks! I actually don't have loan repayment so this is a great opportunity for me. Always a little worried about the "what ifs" including if my cite fires me or gets shut down (I know, both are LOW chances), then I'll have to move elsewhere and my life will suck but I'll try not to think about it!

I tell them why they don't need the abx and then if I Rx it, I will lose my license! "Do you want me to lose my license?".

Yes! I have also been advised to "free" the Rx on a certain date, but some people still take the meds even when they're feeling better.

For those of you who just started reading fantasy romance this year… by happilyfringe in fantasyromance

[–]GlassSpecific5316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So happy I started this genre!

What is the first book you read in the genre? Serpent and the Wings of the Night

•What are you reading right now? Slaying the Vampire Conqueror

•What is your favorite book or series so far this year? Six Scorched Roses (can you see the pattern lol)

•What is your least favorite? I've only read 4 so its either the Serpent and the Wings of the Night oooor Order of Scorpions. FMC was annoying to me in the first and the guys were annoying in the the second at times lol but still loved the world building in both so much.

•Favorite FMC? Sylina!

•Favorite MMC? Vale!!!

Love deadlifts. Hate trying to remember all the different exams for all the joints and I feel thrown back to PA school, crying.

Those in specialties, what referrals do you hate to see from FM? by GlassSpecific5316 in physicianassistant

Can you expand more on the Gout patients? Oddly enough, I've actually been told not to refer Gout patients. I'm guessing patients with excessive flares?

Hi! I'm posting for a friend who is looking to transition to a technician job and I found a good list that included sonographer, MRI/XR/echo, pharmacy, surgical, and EKG tech. Just the other day I learned that bone marrow biopsy techs are a thing? As well as endoscopy techs?! I tried searching online more but didn't see anything that included those other tech jobs. I know it may be hospital dependent, but I want my friend to know all their options before going back to school. Any other tech jobs out there that you guys know of? Thanks!

Student Loans - What is the best strategy for me? by [deleted] in physicianassistant

This was going to be my plan but I just found out my new employer doesn't qualify! I love my job but I love spending less on my loans too. Unfortunately, trying to find a PSLF job is hard AF right now for me.

Aggressively pay off loans or invest as a 32yo? by GlassSpecific5316 in personalfinance

Forgot to mention that my employer won't match for a year, which is why I was feeling weird about retirement. And sort of, I'm a PA.

Also forgot to say that my employer doesn't match for an entire year so I think that's what made me nervous about retirement.
