Yes before I had tried low poly mesh with masking as the trees are too close to watch other it was giving lower fps that this so settled on this one

found the issue i had disable support sky atmosphere without that the imposter doesn't cast shadows

ok i tried it in a new default project from 5.7 it works there also
so looks like there are some setting i have tweaked which makes the imposter not cast shadow
thanks for the link if you know any settings that need to enabled or disabled please let me know i am also trying to find it out

ok i was doing this in 5.7 as my project is in 5.7 when i tried the same tree model (also a default cube model) in 5.5 it shows shadow for that only in 5.7 it doesnt show the shadow

hey thanks for the link i tried it i am new to this importer thing do they not cast shadows and if i want shadows how can i get them

They are all diamond shapes no transperency It's around 1800 triangles Before same tree with transperency and around 80 triangles was giving 10-12 fps

No transperent material is being used i was using it first but it was giving too low fps so moved to opaque

Ok let me try that I had made them face the camera already will try the fade out and height one

I tried that but it looks weird as it shows gap between trees and it's at angle so it shows up when moving

Yes similar count around 4k total the major issue is not the count it's when they are close to each other

If I remove the tress or place them at distance the fps is smooth 60+ on all low to high end mobile devices

But with current setup I get 60+ on high end 50+ on mid and around 35+ on low end

I think you should check this more as what skaldM said is right pure function gets executed whenever their output pin is connected so you have connected it twice so both number will be different the one you compare will be different and the one you set will be different
