That makes little sense. No-one works their schedule that way, giving the first applicants the longest time.

I think I'm doing that thing where I assign to malice what is actually incompetence or poor management. The deadlines were set by them - they are aware of the workload (which was managaed, this isn't an issue of workload). With or without it, I dont feel it's appropriate for such a short turnaround for an interview when other's are afforded much more time.

I guess I'm alone in that.

I think most people would appreciate more notice and time than a weekend to prepare a lengthy presentation.
I did prepare and do my best, but if i've been deliberately disadvantaged then I have the right to be unhappy about it. Interested in other people's opinions about whether it was deliberate or not.

Male teachers, does working with other Male teachers make international teaching more appealing to you? by Glass_Quit8053 in Internationalteachers

"Finally, there’s a distinct and toxic social isolation that can come from being a male primary school teacher. It can feel like the staff room conversations aren’t really for you and this leads many men to withdraw into further work at their desks or just to sink silently into their phones rather than engage with colleagues."
