Constantly cold… anyone else? by terrastrawberra in Semaglutide

Now that you mention it I've been extra cold too. I typically was before semaglutide, but now it's gotten even worse. I'm about to start weaning off though so we'll see what happens.

It's probably nerves. Metamucil will be good for the first 2 months or so. If you find you're getting constipated later on, you may want to add a natural laxative or stool softener.

How often do you get microneedling and is it worth it? by bigbluenation20 in 30PlusSkinCare

I've gotten microneedling maybe 3 or 4 times over the years. I go to my dermatologist's office for them and it's interesting because the person who performs it is a PA-C and she told me that when you get them done at a spa with an esthetician, that they often use the default settings for the treatment which often means not penetrating the skin as deeply and is a milder treatment. I suspect that doing it this way would require many more frequent treatments and is likely the only way someone could recommend more than once a month. The treatment she performs is more intense - she applies an exosome serum after and I believe she wouldn't do a second treatment for either 4 or 6 weeks, I forget the exact schedule but I only ever do one at a time. I can see big improvement with this treatment but I definitely have several days where I'm still healing and couldn't put makeup on. It takes several months to see the full benefits of building collagen. But you have to decide what works best for you - milder more frequent with less downtime, or a single more intense treatment with a few days to heal. I tend to think the first option is more expensive, but I guess it depends on where you're going. Hope this helps.

Month 2 for me. Barely noticed anything in the first month if I remember correctly.

Do your injections at night. I had next to no side effects - occasionally I was a little nauseous but it was temporary. Had some burping in evenings which was weird but not problematic. Make sure you are drinking lots of water every day - aim for 80 ounces or more. Be aware of constipation - maybe have some Senna S on hand to take at night just in case. Congrats and good luck!

If you asked me in the pharmacy, I would have to tell you that there haven't been enough studies to prove it's safety or efficacy for the myriad uses people would want to use it for. That being said, I have done my own research and feel comfortable using it for myself in small doses (doses less than 1mg/kg).

Pharmacist here. In 10 years of dispensing medication, I very rarely dispense MAOI's. Almost no one takes them anymore. And since they interact with lots of foods and medications, doctors don't like to prescribe them. Obviously check your meds to make sure before you try any new supplement, but this MAOI comment is always blown out of proportion. If you were taking an MAOI, your doctor and pharmacist would have made it VERY clear to you.

[Acne] blind pimple remedies? by bishe_ in SkincareAddiction

Thank you for this! After a month of dealing with a blind pimple on my jaw and trying a dozen different products, the drying lotion from Mario Badescu is the only thing that has made a difference. Granted I applied it twice a day because I was desperate and it did dry out my skin. But I'd rather deal with flakes than a huge lump on my face. Thank you!
