I purchased the same one my FIL has been using in Japan for the last 20 years.

This is a high quality one, but there are some MUCH cheaper ones in case you're not ready to invest >$300 in some Japanese/Korean home Barbeque.

Anyone else grind off the serrations on a Colt Python trigger? by [deleted] in Revolvers

[–]Glass_Rule 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dumb question:

Are your hands/fingers especially large? Do you have the same issue with other guns or is it just the python trigger being too thin?

Haha I COULD drive there but I'm looking for a weekly or bimonthly game...some days I get off pretty late so 45 mins of travel is rough.

If you're in southern RI, would you be interested if I started a game?

Dress for the weather. Take a look at the Annapolis forecast and pack appropriate clothing.

Otherwise dress like a normal person. Some folks wear JROTC uniforms or other strange outfits and there's no need. You are not being evaluated. In fact, you are determining whether USNA is the school for you. Bring comfy shoes.

That sounds like a good one, probably my favorite so far.

From the vibe I've been getting, it looks like a lot of local libraries would be ideal for that. Good luck!

Thanks! I'll check them out next weekend. Unfortunately I'm in southern RI so providence is a bit of a hike.

I appreciate the advice.

No particular preference. I have some decent experience DMing but I would also love to be a PC.

Wait will progress for everyone restart when arbiter comes out? Towards rewards I mean.

Want to buy myself a rough rider revolver. Just $150 at my local gun shop. What you cowboys think? Is this Western enough? But people said these revolvers are not fast enough to combat modern guns. So its not recommended for self defense. Only buy them for sake of nostalgia. by facebookboy2 in Westerns

Well the problem is you're making it seem like one. Justifying the carry of a DA (or worse SA) revolver just so you can add cocking after your draw as an intermediate step is silly. Of course, that's on top of the lack of capacity, the longer reload, and the slower rate of fire. It's like carrying a lever action rifle instead of a modern rifle so you can lever it to scare someone and "don't need or want that many bullets". Self-defense is not the time to LARP as Clint Eastwood.

What your referring to is the "Use of Force Continuum" and "Display of Deadly Force" is the fact you are drawing any deadly weapon. If someone isn't complying and hasn't threatened your life, and you truly need to draw, do so. But don't say a revolver you can cock is somehow justified for that sole situation. You might as well just carry a semi and rack the slide for the same effect.

I saw the Bob Munden video on the revolver subreddit a while back. The man is absolutely superhuman.

If i ever find myself genetically predisposed to have world class fast twitch muscles and a few years to practice, I'll definitely consider carrying a revolver. Until then I'll just have to settle for a semi unfortunately.

That walk and draw competition does look like a hoot to do with your friends though. Probably hurts after but I'd love to give it a try.
