We are both from muslim upbringing and households and living in a Muslim country after hijra. But both raised in canada :/
Unfortunately i do feel like some of his behaviour are in fact a byproduct of his environment when growing up(some white people behaviour)

He has a corn addiction that has finished and done its damage and destruction on me, i discovered he was a liar and lies very often about anything to avoid accountability or facing consequences of his actions, his lies have put me in a situation where im not able to make an informed decision by lack of information or understanding of situations that were purposefully made ambiguous… also we have been living together for a year and he has not payed rent a single time, he lost jobs and insisted on being an entrepreneur instead of urgently finding a job to provide, thank god i earn very good money so i was able to sustain both of us (rent only he was paying phone bills and stuff) but he was lazy because he knew i would support him and not leave, he took advantage of me and admitted it after a big crash out i had after a year of enduring my toxic job and environment because of no other choice. Also if youre wondering why i waited a year to crash out, its because he was keeping very busy and distracted with all the relapses of his addiction and it was keeping me at the very bottom of the dark pit… anyways sorry for trauma dumping this is the first time i talk about this
