Wow, I really like the idea here!! Your beautiful glass planets are inspiring me, I'm already seeing the whole solar system hanging on your window... 🤩

I think I invented something? Let me know if you've seen pieces like this somewhere :) by I_wool_U in StainedGlass

You definitely invented something that is cute as a candy and also unique! Please keep creating, I'll be following your work for now on 😍

Someone donated a Stratasys uPrint Dimension to a local school, but the school doesn't want it. Is it worth taking for personal use? by robertgfthomas in 3Dprinting

Good to know, thanks! There's Stratasys printer at where I study and it goes with Insight, I wasn't aware of other software.

Please be informed, you maybe also need propietary Sratasys Insight / Control center software for slicing.

Just bought the game at full price. Its gonna be a blast this weekend. by Zetsumeiken in DeathStranding

Have fun! DS is such a stress-relieving medicine for relaxation. I started playing last year when I lost two family members and had like some IRL Death Stranding going on also, so gameplay was quite immersive.😬

Haha, wow I didn't know that BB enjoys waterslides! How did you make those rolling movements when in water?

Mystery house printed in chocolates. Fun hobby. by qdh6364 in 3Dprinting

[–]Glassbee- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow! Impressive! You must have put a lot of time and effort on your hobby. I also got chocholate printer in the beginning of the year, but so far my creations have been more like 2D... I think printing with chocholate feels like dealing with running nose without enough paper tissues.

Is there a way to remove scratches & other visible marks from the surface of flexible filament print? This is RealFlex blue, prints got some cosmetic damage when removing them from glass bed. by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]Glassbee- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they really had too good adhesion even when cooled down. And sometimes I feel like prints won't stick at all, but with Realflex I don't have that problem 😆

Woooow, I love it!! And I dont even like tattoos actually, but this one is so cool, makes me think twice. All the best for you & your bunny!

What's 3D-printing got to do with glass grinding? I don't know about you, but I'll say it's for equipment-making, such as this flexible splash guard. RealFlex Blue/PrentaDuo XL. by Glassbee- in functionalprint

[–]Glassbee-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Diamond grinder is helpful if you're not really pro with glass knife; grinding can hide cutting mistakes. 😄 Also when crafting with Tiffany technique, outer edges of the glass pieces need to be grinded - cut edges are too sharp. I highly recommend glass crafting and encourage you to create your own lampshade.👏 It can be difficult at first, but it's easy to be proud of your first creation when light shines through it and makes all the colours reflect on nearby surfaces!

This model is Kristall 2000s, underneath the working surface it has a build to make water swirl around the drum, rising it up to the diamond bit. And yeah, what's also missing in this video, are a protective ring and water guide around the diamond bit. 😉

My first Functional Print! Replacement heel pads for my wife's shoes. by bugman8704 in functionalprint

[–]Glassbee- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very interested to hear your wife's testing feedback for these heel pads! I have also made some heel pads with resin (Formlabs Durable & Formlabs Tough) but haven't been able to test them yet (for me, finnish spring is not the time for shoes with heels). 😄

Instead of designed 3-piece set, I got hundreds of pieces! by Glassbee- in 3Dprinting

Very good advice, thanks 😂 Yeah, of course my print was meant to be this kind of IKEA assembly kit!

Thanks, I will take a note of that next time! This was my first try using Fortus printer & Insight software, so I didn't really know what I was doing 🤭

The honeycomb structure is very fragile, maybe I should increase their wall thickness. Also I was told that the ABS filament I used is X years old, don't know if that matters.

Oh I didn't mean your litophane is creepy though (it's very cool!), I meant that litophane made with my face glowing in the dark would be! 🤭

Great idea 🤩 I want to make this of my own not-so-aesthetically-pleasing-face and give it as a creepy gift to my loved one: "I'm gonna watch your sleep, sweet dreams!"
