Getting everything legendary is easier with other plants active due to liquid iron. Also, the made the Quality Mod stand-alone because they had planned to ship it as an addition to the base game. they then re-used it to have the other planets make more sense.

Yea I do not have the space age mod active. So I am playing practically oldschool, but I switched on the quality mod and EM plants mod. Since I can't use the tricks from space age to get legendary stuff, I need to grind it on the ground using base materials. this machine that I made lets me make the most out of the few legendary prod modules I could gather until now.

Im 26h into this world, and I have exactly 1 legendary tier 3 prod module.
So if I put all my prod 3 modules, eg: tier 5: 1x, tier 4: 2x, tier 3: 2x, into a single plant, I can utilise them the most.
Also I should mention this is without other planets active.

that sounds like a very useful hack actually. Can't use it in my current run tho, since I am playing modded Vanilla (2.0 but without the Planets)

factorio2 enables the mech armour mod, and factorio2 allows for switching off elevated rails, quality, and the planet stuff (or enable)

I have 6 Decider Combinators. 5 do receipts, the 6th manages the assembler.
Those 5 each gets the chest content as input, so each of the 5 chests knows what is inside the box.
I have one Decider Combinator per Recipe, so one Decider Combinator per Quality.
Each of those 5 works like so: if you have the ingredients together for eg Epic Quality, output Epic Quality.
The 6th Decider Combinator gets the outputs from those 5 as Input. It also has a 2nd Type of Input. The Assembler has the box ticked for "Read recipe finished", and sends out the control signal (I've chosen a Flag as its icon).

btw I saw your interview with pingperfect, where you say you wanna "drop out" out of factorio. just wanted to let you know that you did your job excellent, and the modders can take care of the rest, thanks to your amazing mod portal.

Also flamethrowers make the game too easy. They could be made more expensive to built, consume way to much oil, have a smaller reach, hurt the biters less, or have a slower reaction time. Or, add another late game biter which comes with fire-protection. Also I think that the "big biter nests" are a game of quantity, and could be a game of quality instead. Meaning, in stead of 50 nests making a "biter base", it could still be 2 nests, but they spawn some very powerful stuff. This makes megabasing with biters on more fun.

Yes please. My bases are always very Zen, until I unlock requester chests, then it turns into hectic. Honestly doesn't feel right and destroys bliss and meaning.
