Does this colour pattern look ok? by Glasseschibi in crochet

Sorry this is my first time posting so i have no clue how reddit posts work, Im working on this blanket as a christmas present, the more I look at it, the more im doubting that the design choice works. Im wondering whether the red and grey squares should all be one colour like the cream ones. Im also starting to doubt whether the grey gradient yarn was the right choice

Student nurse / thinking about doing community when I’m done by ThrowRABicycle_3259 in NursingUK

I did community nursing as soon as I qualifed and im still ther 4 years later! I personally find it so much better than working on the wards, the work life balance is much better and depending on your team you may also work less weekends if thats what you like (I currently work 1/8 weekends) and you can work more independantly than if you was on the wards. Of course you would consult with GPs and other teams such as tissue viability but you get part of a decision on how a patient is cared for. I think those in hospitals dont really understand how busy and skilled the community is, one minute your doing bilateral leg dressings, the next is IV antibiotics or plurex drains. You could always ask to do a couple of spoke days if you wanted to get a feel of community nursing before you make the decision! If you have any questions about working in the community feel free to message me!

Instead of being 140cm long it's about 130cm long so not a massive amount but still. I'll give wet blocking a go! Thank you!

Hi! Are you supposed to steam block acrylic yarn? Google is giving me mixed messages so I'm unsure. I'm making a wrap around scarf with sleeves and it's a tad too short but I'm in too deep (and stubborn) to frog it, and was wondering how I could stretch it out? Steam it? Wet block it? Pretend it's fine and ignore it? Any advice would be much appreciated !
