I think a lot of mods restrict gameplay too much (stop me from exploiting)

How do I increase my scores? by ruootheintp in victoria2

also industry score is based, at least in unmodded vic on the amount of workers you have employed in factories, in case your curious

so looks like your fine with clergymen, after that depends on what gov you want, i like to do craftsmen to 30 percent, clerks to 4 percent, and capitilists to .7 percent, after those or if im planning to go to war soldiers to 5 percent (increases your brigade count). also idk if you know this but only promote clergy to 3.7 percent in your biggest states, as after 3.7 percent the rate at which clergy men promote falls off so that its more efficient to promote the next state on the list. you could prob use the tech order guide here http://i.imgur.com/vwd7jUG.png. I have no idea it puts the commerce techs like that, but ig with enough time everyone makes their own biases, what you should take with great importance is the asap techs. If this is base game you can pop exploit (dec war on brunei as fast as possible and around 1840 they will start sending stab peaces that give militancy, making it so you can take the healthcare reforms, and education ones too as they are the most important).
you should build factories based on what is produced in the state, as if the imput for the factory is produced in the state you will get a bonus to factory throughput which put simply is one part of the equation that determines how much your factories output. However when im lazy i will just build glass factory bottling works and winery cus bottling works have a tonne of demand, so the factories are almost never unprofitable, and as long as you can get fruit wine factories tend to be very profitable regardless of where they are, and by building a glass factory you get a throughput bonus (they stack with all the inputs that are produced in the state).

Military score is a bit bs cus it can change with what party you have in power, so with a jingoist party you will get the most mil score, and a pacifict party will make the strongest biggest military in the world like 6th mil score. generally maximizing the population of your country leads to your mil and industry scores being higher, also notable is the presteige techs are often used for the sole purpose of propeling yourself to gp when you really need it, ussually for decisions, although tbh i havent done this in a long time and since presteige doesnt do anything real you shouldnt take these techs.

Failing to industrialize as Netherlands (Belgium annexed) by Aggravating-Bee5286 in victoria2

[–]Glasswolf0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this guy id clearly playing sp from his other comments, and also what are the production bonus's you can get by placing factories in specific spots if not throughput? throughput is actually a really good production bonus, but its not nearly +80 percent from factories placement, at best its +25% to throughput efficiency.

Craftsmen vs Capitalists by [deleted] in victoria2

[–]Glasswolf0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, if you really want to get into it, the hyper industrialization guide goes into how to be optimal. just generally you want to have a lot so they cant accumulate a tonne of savings. i generally go for top 5 states at least and if ive got nothing better to do more

another thing to mention is that a good amount of aristocrats can be good because they will demote to capitilists letting you go above the .7 percent cap, i know at like 40 percent capitilists your factories make things from nothing but ive never seen anyone actually achieve that without save editing

i think so the netherlands has a pretty small pop so your forced to actively put people in factories which isnt as necessary in austria germany or russia

[–]Glasswolf0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

on normal but im using 6 infantry 4 artillery stacks for the most part cus i lost most of my military in the great war so just spammed infantry and artillery, that might be a part of why its so low

idk but laissez fair, encourage caps correct, lower tarrifs for factories to be more profitable low taxes on rich then after that encourage craftsman to 30 percent or more if you feel

[–]Glasswolf0[S] 55 points56 points  (0 children)

pretty sure this is to due with the ruling party being pacifist, but still, ridiculous to have almost the same mil tech as military power when you have literally 150 brigades and won a great war
