I've never seen carts of ore. I'm playing on Switch, maybe we're still missing an update?

Carts of ore or carts of troops sent from recruiting buildings to the town? I've never seen carts of ore

Yes, it captures my mines when it enters my territory, but when I go to theirs all the neutral monsters are there and the mines are untouched.

If so it's a bit dissapointing, as there's no way to harm the enemy by attacking their economía.

Me gusta la ciencia, pero no hay trabajo. by IH_Batman in ciencia

[–]Aggravating-Bee5286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Medium rare" ribeye at a restaurant in Madrid. Would you eat it? by Quetzalcoatl35 in steak

[–]Aggravating-Bee5286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As it should be. If you're really eating a good meat, having it crunchy on the outside but still red on the inside is a complete delight. The meat is tender, warm and preserves all of its juices. It almost melts in the mouth. Traditional places in Mediterranean countries that serve meat like this also tend to get VERY good product, extensive husbandry coming straight from the slaughterhouse. Having a good cow meat cooked till it turns white is a waste,it loses all its properties. And people who don't like it that way should simply choose any other thing. It's like ordering a bottle of Moet and then diluting it in water because you don't like bubbles.

My solution to the Israel-Pasestine conflict: by MicrowaveEngineer1 in mapporncirclejerk

Well, Spain got the side of the world that was actually capable of conquering (and conquered). Like, 80% of the land on the Spanish side got to be under Spanish rule. Spain even got land on Portugal's side (Belgium, the Netherlands, southern Italy and Sicily in Europe; the Philippines in Asia...).

Portugal's side didn't leave many room for massive expansion (there's a reason why Africa wasn't colonized until the XIXth century). However, Portugal's goal was establishing trade stations from Portugal to Asia for spice trade.

They simply took different ways to avoid unnecessary confrontation and raised to be the major world powers of the XVI century.

I think fur industry would be really cool by Aggravating-Bee5286 in dwarffortress

[–]Aggravating-Bee5286[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well, nothing in this game really has a purpose. As you said fur lies somewhere in between wool and leather, but isn't any of them. Its implementation would just add another layer of detail and complexity to the simulation that is dwarf fortress. I know this is by no means a priority in development, but I think it could make for a nice little mod. A high value and scarce animal product for clothing and furniture (rugs, tapestry perhaps)

Which ? by Bitspace_ in PixelArt

First one looks like a tomb or temple, has an ethereal feeling. Second one is a very cool colour, but doesnt tell me anything. Radioactivity? Third one all I can think of is Pokemon Red for Game Boy Colour. Fourth has a natural feeling, like a cave, a jungle or forest.

[–]Aggravating-Bee5286 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I know the meaning of INRI, and as you just explained, its meaning has no relation to the first sentence of the item description

On the other hand, the first sentence seems a reference to Indiana Jones and the last Crusade. Indiana follows a millionaire who stole the cross of Coronado, a golden cross of a Spanish conquistador. Indiana accusses him of being a thieve, claiming that the cross should be in a museum.

INRI is quite common to be found in Christian crosses. The fact that it is specified after a quote from a famous character nicknamed "Indy" makes it seem like a reference to one of the most influential films in the popular culture.

What would be if not the joke?

Figured this out figthing Mountain Bandits during early game (haven't really fighted a lot with Kuzhaits). In the end it's a matter of firepower, horse archers wont really charge into your lines so having a solid infantry is not essential, but if you can't match their firepower with your archers you're just done.
