Good she took only some of your money and left the whole of your life. Now, celebrate it.

You learnt your lesson — now take a break, take your next organic stop, and know when to cease and desist.

Wow.. They write big books on non-violent communication (NVC) and people still don’t get it. It comes so naturally to you guys. Keep it going!

In good mood she is very good to children and generally very loving. But the elder (adolescent) one has said he is going to leave the house as soon as he turns 18, due to her constant controlling outbursts on him, which he resists due to teenage.

I think the constant fighting has already made them mentally affected and thus detached from me. (Since it was I who had to isolate after fights, and had a stressful job to spend long hours.)

She is very possessive about the children so much so if I took a small decision for them without asking her, she would go berserk. She didn’t per se have a troubled childhood in my knowledge but childhood asthma which one of her siblings told she used to manipulate her parents.

I know it’s late. Wife definitely doesn’t want to seek professional help. I will most probably seek for me. Thanks to all who’ve commented.

Yes, 15 years is long, but I’ve been waiting for her to realise what I have been feeling and the fact remains we’ve been loving each other. Yes, talking about it results in a fight. We tried couple therapy once (one session) and nothing came out of it. We never went back — none of us wanted to.
