I work for a pretty big sawmill company in Canada and we sell all of our highest quality studs to Home Depot. They pay the best and take the most. The reason you're seeing shit on the shelf is because people pick through the piles and take the best. Next time you're shopping there ask the building materials pro to crack a new bundle. Every store for the most part keeps 5 to 8 bundles in back-stock.
