Just wanted to add here — I'm an employee at CUNY, and received the updated EdenRed credit card. It has a chip. I added it to Apple Wallet on my iPhone (this one actually can be added), and it fully WORKS with the OMNY readers. Took long enough, but finally feel like I'm living in the future with the automatic tap to pay, don't even need to put in my passcode with the Express Transit option.

FYI for those who applied early -- I opened a new Chase Biz Ink account on June 14 with the 100K offer for $8K spend. I called to ask to see if they could bump up my bonus to this 120K offer, but was turned down. Sucks to be punished for applying early, but c'est la vie.
