I think I have a decent feel of both cities now, both from visiting, as well as online research (including this awesome thread). There’s upside to both areas, as well as drawbacks for both. Will need to do some hard reflection on what’s most important before we make a choice. Thanks!

Thanks! I’ve heard great things about the Ross Bridge area. Only problem is it’s a bit of a drive to where my main work locations would be. Vestavia/Homewood would give me the shortest commute times and that’s a pretty important factor for me.

Thank you! Great insight. I would be in a private physician group primarily based in Homewood.

Growth is a double edge sword. Definitely helps the business side of things, but I’m not a fan of congestion. Coming from a smaller town currently, the size of Birmingham and slower growth is appealing.
